A basic parking lot with great views of the harbour. $20 honesty box. close to restaurants. nice quiet spot away from the highway. Great views! Great cell service! Our last visit we met 'host' parked in lot with classic city bus conversion.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is a dirt parking lot overlooking the ocean. It was very quiet overnight probably 7 other vehicles. This lot is run by the city of Port Orford. They want $20 placed in a yellow iron post that has no place to put the money in. They do not even offer a trashcan.
Report Check-InExcellent flat gravel parking with amazing views. Worth the $20.
Report Check-InThis spot does not appear to be free anymore. The “suggested donation” above the $20 on the sign is taped over, and there is another sign that says you must pay before staying. If there were more details, we didn’t take the time to read them.
Report Check-InWe parked here now. Two other campers currently here. We're not staying the night but the mailbox is here with a note to drop $20 into it for an overnight stay. Windy but beautiful and level.
Report Check-InNo overnight parking signs everywhere. Public showers and toilets are still available at the dock. Restaurant for Fish n Chips seems closed.
Report Check-In$20 honesty box. No bathrooms that we noticed in easy use. Beautiful views. Five minute (or less) walk from a beach. When we were there we saw a few whales! Pretty windy and otherwise quiet. We shared the space with 3-5 other vehicles. Saw a police car a few times doing his route and he didn’t bother anyone.
Report Check-InThis is a parking lot for boondocking on bluff viewing docks with boats lift. Was a host present on site in classic city bus checking payments. Showers avail for a fee at docks. Nearby enjoy kayak rentals, Life boat museum, agate beach, battle rock visitor center.
Report Check-InAs described, still honesty box $20, which I hope people honor. One older RV in the lot and severe weather, wind and rain. We’re happy for this spot instead of following a nasty storm down the coast. Seems the most noise will be from the storm. Update: someone knocked on our door but we didn’t answer. There were a few vehicles in the lot but it was quiet. Whoever knocked went away.
Report Check-InWas a beautiful stay. Fairly quiet, but you can hear vehicles going out to the pier. There is an honesty box, asking for $20 donations.
It was a bit windy, but that seems normal of the storm we had blow through.
Report Check-InGood spot for one night in a pinch, but $20 was a bit much for this parking lot. (there are campgrounds in nearby Bandon for about that much). It has a nice view and no privacy.
Report Check-InPrice is now $20. Full bars LTE. Cold and misty, very humid inside our bus!
Report Check-InStayed 2 nights. Amazing spot with amazing views. $20 a night suggested donation. Highly recommend the fish and chips restaurant on the docks.
Report Check-InDid't stayed here. We were the only RV and did't felt well so for 7 dollar more we toke a tent place at the Humburg Mountain SP near by this place
Report Check-InHad ocean view in front of us and deer behind us. Nice spot to spend a night. “Shady” looking people meandering around but didn’t feel unsafe. Honor box to collect the $10 fee. Shower is about a 1/4 mile walk down to docks.
Report Check-InThis place is amazing! Well worth 10$! We arrived at 8pm and just got the last spot with a sea view. A local told us that you can sea whales sometimes so watch out :)
Report Check-InJust as described. Great view. Just a couple of blocks from restaurants and showers close by at the harbor. There were about 6 rigs parked there overnight, including us.
Report Check-InGood spot for overnight. Please be fair and pay the 10 $, it‘s worth it. Amazing view over the pacific.
Report Check-InGreat place with a beautiful view
Stayed here with some other campers
Showers and toilets in walking distance and clean
This place saved me. I was broke down and broke I stayed there while waiting for a friend to drive from out of state to help me. I wasn't able to pay the$10. At the time that was alright I did later. Well worth it.
Report Check-InNice parking lot owned by the port which costs $10/night. The gentlemen next to me had been there for a few days. I stayed on a Friday night and it was very quiet all night. Nice view of the ocean and port. An older man comes there every day (so I’m told) with his Australian shephard(?) and reads a book in his car while the dog runs around. The dog isn’t a stray. :). She’s a little timid but will let you pet her eventually and she is very protective of her owners car of another dog comes nearby.
Anywho, nice spot for $10 (and I rarely pay for ‘camping’). The coffee shop in the back of the hobby store down the road (one lump or two) is quite cute. Worth a stop. I’ve been told there are decent public showers down at the port as well for a $1 or so-ish.
Report Check-InA fairly level gravel parking lot with unobstructed views of the ocean. Well worth the $10.
Report Check-InAs described. Very nice spot looking over onto the sea, great sunsets and others around you which makes it feel secure. Cafes and restaurants around in the morning / daytime. Beach below
Report Check-InThis "parking lot" is located 2 blocks from the Main Street. There are public bathrooms at the marina just 1/4 mile with pay showers. $1.25 for 7.5 minutes. Quite with the best view ever! Paid $10 per night. Coffee and other things are all within walking distance. No bathrooms on site. Sign refers to overnight parking. No campfire, no noise, no tents, but that's ok.
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful, right on the waterfront, no services, but only $10. Per night
Report Check-InVery nice view and quite, just the ocean. 10 USD, it is worth every cent!
Please be fair and pay it!!!
A basic parking lot with great views of the harbour. $10 honesty box. close to restaurants. nice quiet spot away from the highway.
