Coco is working on moving his place closer to the newly paved road but it is an easy drive to see him while he is still at the original location.

Awesome place, I would recommend as long as you have a spare tire, the gravel on this road looks just a little sharp. I don't have a spare and there's no service out here so I was extra risky by coming out here, but I think it was worth it for the 360 mountains view and the hiking and bouldering all around to do! Coco's place has panties and bras hanging on his ceiling and pictures of him grabbing ladies panties on the walls! It's like his personal bachelor pad for everyone to come hang out and chill at I love it! He is very nice but very nervous about people at night so let him know if you're going on a sunset hike so he's not startled or upset.

What a place, Coco is a real original, he speaks english and spanish. drink a beer with him and have some conversation and then he is happy,

Coco is quite the character. We stopped in and had a couple beers, stayed the night in our van parked on his property. He shared some stories about his life and we are so glad we made it his way. Cocos Corner is only 6km off the main road coming south (a new highway is being paved). Fairly easy trek to get here. Coco said business has been slow the last several years because the new highway is now the preferred way to travel south. So go in and see him! Even if it is a little off the main drag.

Such a great place.
Coco is such a character. We stopped for a night, the day before my birthday and to also celebrated Coco’s which is two days later.

The area is clean and well maintained.
I would definitely stop here again. It was very much worth the drive over to see and stay.

spent the night at Cocos and so happy that we did. Such a generous man who just wants people to be happy and enjoy themselves. It was a cold night so he insisted we stay in one of his campers instead of our tent and cooked inside his kitchen. Even if you don't spend the night stop by, grab a drink and have a chat.

wonderfull place and coco is a star making you feel very welcome,sorry we missed his 80th.but had a look around his cabin full of mementoes (cards,photos,under garments,tshirts etc).
wonderful hikes & dog walking all around. if your passing call in .

Coco is a wonderful human being with a heart of gold. We headed here with the intentions of inquiring about camping. With the purchase of a beer each, we camped for free. We arrived mid afternoon and saw the comings and goings of a few other rigs. Each one he offered them a parking spot for the night, so don't think you're putting him out. It was a windy cold night and he even offered to let us cook in his kitchen, which we took him up on. (Just make sure you make enough for him as well, because he'll chow down with you!) While we were cooking, two bicyclists rode up just before nightfall. He extended the same offer for use of the kitchen and put them up in one of his four small campers he has outside so they didn't have to pitch their tent in the wind. We even spent the morning drinking our coffee and sharing a few packages of cookies with him. He is an impossibly gracious host. His 80th birthday is February 25th of 2017, so if you're going through around then, make sure to wish him a happy birthday!!!

Reminded me of Craster's Keep from beyond the Wall. It's a pretty informal setup i.e. pay a few beers and camp for free. If you're a female you might curry Coco's favour and get a hot bucket shower or maybe just some good old sexual harassment. This is a weird place but is no doubt a must for overlanders on the Baja. For me in a tent it was a bit loud at night with trucks coming and going and the army patrols stopping outside. NOTE - don't arrive after Sunset as some did and Coco didn't really like this and they were denied entry.

Coco's is a great spot to stop for a refreshing beverage of your choice including beer! The gravel road is about 35kms long and absolutely fine and safe if you take it slow. No big crazy ruts. Took me just under two hours and I have a low clearance van. Say hi to Coco, he is a friendly guy.

Just stopped in to buy a Coke and say hi to coco on a long driving day on that crap road. Left a sticker headed on our way. A cool old guy and eclectic spot for sure

Quaint and quirky. Pit toilets were clean and stocked with TP. Coco is one of a kind and keeps a register of all guests, interesting to peruse. Was quite a bit chillier here than on the coast.

Interesting place and Coco is quite a character. Experience it before the road is all paved and bypasses Coco's.

If you're around here, visiting Baja North, this is a must see. Coco is a friendly guy, he lives in the middle of nothing or everything, depends on you :). Here you'll sleep outside, the sky will be the only roof. From the main road you need to ride 25 kms to the east (off road).
