Description

This is an amazing location overlooking a small lake in the community park. There is an enormous covered, cement ground structure with electrical outlets on every pole and water faucets. It's so big, you could fit nine Cessna planes inside.
If there are no community events happening during your visit, they may let you in as well.

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful place. Everything very American, very different from the rest of Belize! There are many shelters with tables, grill and water connection around the lake, next to which you can park. Enough and very clean toilets, but no showers. Many different birds at the lake to watch. Free during the week, 10 BZD per car per day at the weekend (including 6 people). It is billed per day, so if you stay from Saturday to Sunday, it costs 2 * 10 BZD.

We were asked to pay 20bzd because we would be in the park on two days. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday and left 10am on the morning. In the end we payed 10bzd to enter and nobody asked for money in the morning when we left. It was a wreid discussion with the care takers.

As described before - beautiful large area , lots of space both sunny and ahady They pur up a warning sign at the lake however: crocodiles live here, swim at your own risk ...

Very nice place to stay. More like a park with a huge lake and wide grassy areas and lots of shady places. Very quiet at night. Free from Mo-Fr, 10 € fee at weekends. Highly recommended!

Its definetly a nice place with a lot of amneties .. At weekends, many christians come to your car and want to talk about Religion and stuff - but they are always friendly and not too encroaching!

A place to relax. You can park right by the lake. There are clean toilets with toilet paper. There are electric sockets at the covered pitches, and those who have filters can fill up their water there for free.

Very nice place to spend the day and the night. A lot of shade, water taps all around and toilets.
You just need to ask the caretakers. Normally it’s no problem, unless there is a big event. Spanish lookout is really different from the rest of Belize. We loved it there.

It is free to camp here. Very serene and quiet while we were there. Bathrooms available (not the cleanest) and lots of mosquitos there. We were able to cook outside and had a quiet night's sleep. Beautiful scenery and a great place to catch the sunset or sunrise.

Beatiful place with lots of nature around and shadow, there,s an artificial lake you can walk around, toilets and water and electricity. You can visit the mini Spanish Lookout and there is a little park for children to play and a lot to explore! Amazing sunset and quite and calm place, just love it and caretakers are so nice.

Report Check-In

The caretakers were not home when we came, we waited for them to ask for the permission to spend the night. It wasn't a problem but they didn't seem too excited about it. Maybe it would have been better if we would meet in a daylight, rather than wait for them to return from their night out. But the place is awesome, so much space, they should really dedicate part of it for camping.

Boondocked for free for one night. Pretty, quiet, and secure. No facilities, but there is a small bathroom equivalent to a port o potty that you can use. Take your own toilet paper. There is a pretty lake. The property is gated. Easy drive back to the restaurants in Spanish Lookout. We suggest eating at Western Dairies.

Stayed here for two nights. very nice and quiet place. Unfortunately the toilets were locked and the exterior showers were not working (pipe is cut). We stayed under the shed because it was raining and we had a few things that we needed to fix with the car. Kid played a lot under the 50×100 m shad. Great place.

This is an amazing location overlooking a small lake in the community park. There is an enormous covered, cement ground structure with electrical outlets on every pole and water faucets. It's so big, you could fit nine Cessna planes inside. The only down side is that it's not a campground. We're only staying here because the guard was kind enough to let us in. If there are no community events happening during your visit, they may let you in as well.
