Description

Correct location for Alde Huatesca campground. Original posting is in the middle of nowhere. sugar cane country away from river. Really nice place. 190 per person to camp / car camp

Camped in our van in nice parking lot area, short walk to beautiful river area. I think tents can camp waterfront. Restaurant on site, smelled really good, apparently has buffet style meals at set times for an additional price.
Dinner 8 pm

$200 per night for a solo traveler in a van. Super nice and I stayed 5 nights. Adding to what other reviewers report:

The property is owned by Ruta Huasteca Expeditions, a big tour operator in the area. I got door-to-door service on their rafting trip.

No shopping and limited dining options close by so best to show up fully stocked.

We have travelled a lot through Southern Africa and this place reminds of the lovely safari camps there. Beautiful surroundings, well maintained facilities, clean Baños, hot shower, friendly helpful staff, dinner was excellent last night. We are paying 200 pesos per night for camping - roof top tent - at the edge of parking lot by grassy camp fire site. Very dog friendly - our pup has been swimming all day.

This place is SO gorgeous. 4.8/5 stars on google! Absolutely recommend you come here! Sure the dirt parking lot for the entrance to the cascades for free seems like a good deal, but this is so much better for the small fee they charge.

190 pesos per person per night for camping in their lot and using their shower, banos, hammocks, garbage, electricity plug in, fire pits / firewood and enjoying their grounds (spectacular horticulture and view of the river). I also paid 50 pesos per load of laundry.

There were only two spots to plug in (by the reception or by the 15 person bus loading area. We chose neither since we have solar, and the better spot was in the corner of the parking lot but the option was offered.

They have an option for breakfast and dinner cafeteria like meals. They quoted 140 for breakfast and 160 for dinner. We bargained cheaper and another guest said they did as well, so give it a try!

The cabins look so cool and not too expensive when they quoted us (790). Camping would be sweet right by the river. Parking is not the greatest so if you’re a very big rig, I’d go to the free parking lot down the road (it’s quite big). They have a round about you could turn around if you tried. I’d say, 25 feet. We are 32, but with trailer disconnected we fit in two parking spots and levelled ourselves with blocks. Worth it though! An oasis, magical feeling here😍 Large 8-9 foot gate I assume they close at night. Haven’t seen a security guard around the grounds.

No wifi here but 2 bars of sufficient Telcel data signal.

Wow! Really lovely venue. Not a lot of parking space for overland vehicles. We were directed to nice shaded spots that didn’t have enough clearance for our Gladiator + Alu-Cab Canopy Camper. Then we were sent to a lot that is normally used for 15-passenger van parking. There was one space in the lot where we could get level. All good. We had the place to ourselves!! We couldn’t believe it, with the beauty of the venue, swimming access, and activities in the area. We enjoyed swimming daily and laying out in the hammocks. Hot showers and clean bathrooms. For food, leave the campground and take your first right. You’ll end up at a big parking lot and there are eateries there. Riaces is nice for breakfast, but on the pricy side (for the area). The little place directly beside it is great for lunch and dinner. We tried the bocoles, sopes, and quesadillas, and everything was delicious. And the ladies in there are sweethearts. The Selva Teenek ecopark is interesting (guided tours in Spanish). Just don’t forget bugspray.

They do want 290 pesos pp now but did honor the 100 pesos pp when we showed them this app. We did not stay because the water was too high and our only option was the parking lot. Nice people and clean looking.place.

We went to stay here but the lady wanted 190mxp per person to sleep in our van in the car park or 490mxp per person For camping, dinner and breakfast. Thought it was a bit outrageous considering we were sleeping in the carpark.

This place now costs 300 pesos per person!!! We are excellent bargainers and tried for over an hour to reduce price but they wouldn’t budge. We did not stay.
