Paraguay
Nice quiet place to stay on a family's small farm. There is also bungalos to rent and a nice restaurant serving homemade, homegrown food.. Surrounded by the menagerie of animals they have rescued. Showers, potable water. Lovely gardens with grills to relax in. Wifi and electricity also available. Paid 70,000 per night.

Not a real campsite, there is only one place were you can park your camper van (Max Size Unimog), no wifi, hot showers, electricity, Restaurant, 100.000,- expensive for two, nice owner, when wet after rain you need a 4x4
Report Check-InVery welcome, beautiful garden with plenty of place to relax. Toucan in the trees, excellent meal, we recommend this campsite you will love it.
Report Check-InSchöner Platz mit großem Garten und tollem Pool. Bar und Restaurant mit gutem Essen. 50.000 pro Person.
Empfehlung!
A wonderful place to stay! I definitely recommend the "full board" offer! We got a super nice wooden cabaña and three meals a day for 160.000 Guaranis (less than 25 Euros) per person. The food is awesome and lots of it is self produced. Sausages, incredible tasty "Leberwurst" and turingian Bratwurst from the pigs which are raised here. Fried Tilapia from the fish lakes. Probably the best fresh fruit juice I ever drank! Washing of our clothes was included too! Only beer and cigars are extra (1l Pilsen 10000 - in the shop I payed 9000, so extremely reasonable prices!). Lots of English and German books. There are a lot of animals here, which were rescued from bad places. Monkeys, a Tapir, parrots... Concerning the cages: I definitely saw smaller ones in German zoos! When we were there, a baby colibri who fell out of the nest was suckled with honey! This place is always open and will find a space for you. Contact them over their homepage or just turn up... We really enjoyed our stay there!
Report Check-InSince Overlanders seem to dye out herer some fotos of the place. Lets see if there is more of them crossing norther Py.
Report Check-InWe stayed 3 nights at El Roble and enjoyed it very much. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We went for a very relaxing trip downstream on the Rio Ypane. Peter, the owner, is very helpful and experienced. The pool and garden are fantastic.
Report Check-InCamping is 50.000 per person, Wifi is 5000 additional. Facilities are not like you expect for so much money. They prefer guests that book full board and rent a cabaña.
Report Check-InAn original authentic place. Peter and his family have created a place where nature is no 1 with all the necessary comfort. Delicious food. Prizes really not overdone.
Report Check-InHi
Thats the owner of El Roble with a few recomandations.
Py is not a cheap country at all and our prices are on the bottom-line. If you are not keen to be on a place with a lot of people you should avoid weekends. In weekstime you have the place mostly for yourself.
The last 3 years had rains untill 100 % over normal averrage and we lost a lot of camping-spaces to swamp. This seems to revert now and we are getting our best places back.
Visitors are free to donate for bigger cages. The ones existent are what we can invest and for animals how has been for long years in chanes or in a rabbit-cage (the female howler) they represent an big increase in life-quality.
See you

Overpriced and overvalued. Charged us 100.000 aday for 2 persons and a midsized camper. German prices for paraguay quality. And these 'rescued' animals were kept in very small cages. The pool was pleasant, though.
Report Check-InPeaceful place to rest with nice German owner. Good food, great shower, fast wifi. Paid 100k for the night + I BIG beer + home cooked dinner. Recommend .
Report Check-InNice place to walk around and view animals. Lot of facilities, but mostly aimed at families and backpackers. Not so for overlanders, there is not a lot of open space for rigs. It was raining when we were there, dirt road can be tricky then.
Report Check-InNice quiet place to stay on a family's small farm. Fishing in the ponds and other activities. Surrounded by the menagerie of animals they have rescued. Showers, potable water. Lovely gardens with grills to relax in. Wifi and electricity also available. Paid 70,000 per night.
