the road is a bit steep but ok for every car to this place, it is a place on the second view, the sunsets are amazing, its above the clouds, and its cold 4 degree Celsius in the morning, quite, no Light polution and no noise, perfect place

Very nice place! It's a refreshing break from the trip. It was 4°C last night, we were comfortable under our duvets and without mosquitoes. Not far away there are several water sources. To have access to the Internet (Liberty) you must park on the small raised platform. To get to this spot, there is a step on the road that big rigs will have difficulty passing, however it is possible to park before at the edge of the track.

nice spacious spot just next to the national. you can't hear the passing cars at all. We were two cars that evening but there was plenty of room. we couldn't see the sunset but the view is very beautiful. we recommend this spot.

Great spot to spend the night. We were not lucky with the weather, we could not see the view so I can’t tell. But the place is great even for a campfire.

We saw a coyote.

It gets cold overnight, about 5-6C last night.

What a beautiful sunset above the clouds!! But be prepared for the cold! It was below zero last night, we froze water in a bowl outside the van! Freezing wind too. The road is very beautiful to get to and it is really a quiet place.

Good place to stay overnight. Few cars
may pass through late evening, probably employees in charge of the telecom systems. The dirt road has some steeper sections and can be bumpy, but should be accessible for any type vehicle.

Great spot! Secluded, safe, cool climate, great views both sunset and sunrise, there is even Kolbi service. After sunrise we drove to the Quetzal road with the many iOverlander spots for Quetzal sightings north of this spot but did not get lucky unfortunately. Highly recommended!

Still very good option to stay for the night. We didn't stay because it rained only once a day but the different places up on this road looked nice and clean.

Spent 2 quiet nights here. Cold. Seven degrees inside the insulated rig. It seems to be a popular spot as locals came to camp also. No issue. Nice views but not as clear these days.

Report Check-In

Top place for a cold night. The coldest night in Central America with 8 degrees
Very quiet night and with luck Super views.
