Latest Check-Ins

They asked for 600 pppn and nothing for our 4 year old daughter.

We were not able to get a discount even though the camp was damaged by the recent cyclone. The pool was not usable, the beach was filled with sea weed and the guys were chopping up fallen trees and loading all that at the back of a truck.
Not the calm and relaxing experience we would have liked but I must be great the rest of the time.

Report Check-In

We had very pleasant stay.
Pleased to say that the gates were locked and they had good security.

Report Check-In

Echo most of the other comments.
I have to add that we were robbed last night! Last robbery was just two weeks ago and now again but management is not taking appropriate measures to improve security. As we arrieved, 7 nights ago, sliding door to the beach and the gate to the beach were wide open. Fence to the beach does not deserve the name as it is in a really bad state. Thin wire will not prevent criminals from comming in. One big gap in the fence I closed with some laying around barbe wire. Guard was somewhere sleeping and invisible. I tried to reach management to do something, but wring call. No security upgrades yet! I was knocked unconscious when I climbed down the ladder - the robbers ran away. Although this is a very nice place, if security is a problem then its a no go for us. So if you want to visit this camp/lodge, be warned.

Report Check-In

Very nice Campsite directly at the beach. The Ablutions are clean most of the time (we stayed 7 nights).
Problem:
At New Years Eve our neighbors got robbed. Some guys opened the tents and stole their Smartphones. Although there was „Security“ at Goody Villas. The guy was sleeping and not seen.
The Fence is old and not a real problem for „bad guys“. Be careful and prepare yourself.

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite by the sea under coconut palms and plenty of trees. Took a dhow trip run by Lourenza out to Paradise Island. Came reccommended by the guy looking after the camp. Lourenza was drunk and useless. Arrived straight from the shebeen with beers and a bottle of whiskey. We loved our time on tbe island but definately stay away from Lourenza.

Report Check-In

Probably one of our most favorite campsites in Mozambique! Lovely swimmingpool and direct access to the beach. We camped right at the fence for ocean view but be aware that there’s a water tap here that is commonly used by passing locals. Showers are nice and hot, only thing missing would be a kitchen/braai area. Vodacom has great reception, Movitel not so much. Do yourself a favour and arrange a trip to Paradise Island with a local fisherman.

Report Check-In

Lovely grassy campsites under shady trees. Access to the beach. We stayed three nights. Peaceful. Quite a distance from the village but fish, prawns and crayfish available from local fishermen.

Report Check-In

Spent 5 nights here, very peaceful surrounding, ‘drinking’ water was clouded, didn’t drink. Staff friendly. Showers super. Leafy, grass, powered sites. Some chalets on offer too. All in all we would recommend it. Adult 500 pppn off season, kids 450 pppn.

Report Check-In

What a stunning campsite. Right on the beach with 3 sites on the beach front. Electricity and water easy accessible at camp. They said water is good to drink, borehole water.
They do have a swimming pool as well even though we only went swimming in the ocean.
Locals will try to sell you fresh seafood (highly recommended) or snorkeling trips, we organized our day trip through the lodge next door, paid 4000MTS per person for a full day trip.

Report Check-In

All as described. Beautiful grassy place. Perfect managed by Sam. He try to do everything that you have fantastic holiday. A lot of space also for big rigs.

Report Check-In

Lots of nice flat green grass shady trees. Everything well taken care of. No wifi still. Stayed 3 nights as it was nice. Great clean long beach in front and a nice sea breeze nightly

Report Check-In

Beautiful and well maintained spot right at the beach, as described. Good place to rest and enjoy for a while. They charged us 500M pppn. You can walk along the beach 2min, just 2 doors down to the very decent Brisa Mar restaurant/bar.

Report Check-In

As previously described: fantastic campsite and sparkling clean. We spent 12 days here. The campsite and the driveway from Inhassoro are also suitable for BigRig (we are 3.8m high). The first km is paved, then a sandy driveway, but doable without any problems.

Report Check-In

Everything as described before. Now 500 Mt pnpp. Boat to Santa Carolina Island 15,000Mt for 4 people for about 4 hours

Report Check-In

Beautiful place. We came for one night but stayed 5. Directly on the beach. Camping is open and huge area with lots of shade. Hook up and braì stands. Hot showers, and big rig friendly. No Wi-Fi. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place.
Clean and grass plots. Lovely ablutions and beach access.
Totally recommended.
The restaurant was closed but a lodge within 200 meters is open if you need.

Report Check-In

We are the ‚other overlanding truck‘ that nickianddave are mentioning (see below) … and we fully and wholeheartedly support their comments!
Goody Villas was our first and by far the best camp (out of six) we have been to in MOZ! We stayed for six nights … and with hindsight, we should have stayed even longer!
Highly recommended!
We paid Mt 1000 for two adults/night … which we find is very attractive.

Report Check-In

we stayed 5 nights here and loved it. superb location right on a long, white sand beach with safe and easy swimming. fantastic ablutions with powerful hot showers, grassy pitches and a clean, well maintained swimming pool. it should be noted that we were the only campers for 2 nights and just 1 other overlanding truck for the other 3 nights so we felt very spoilt but I still think this would be a fabulous campsite even I'd it is busier.

Report Check-In

Best campsite in Mozambique! Stunning views, clean ablution, restaurant next door and a wonderful beach right in front of you! It’s magic. Even for kids there is a trampoline and big swimming pool! This campsite was truly one of his kind.

Report Check-In

Loved the camp site. Parked direct at the beach front. Amazing hot showers. Clean toilets. Electricity at site. BBQ grills available. Trash disposal and friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Report Check-In

Excellent campsite ! If you're coming from southern Mozambique you know how rare it is to have a seafront campsite. 90% of the campsites we saw/been in Moz are behind a dune or far from the beach, so enjoy thoroughly this one! 😅 Excellent shower, great pool, electricity at spots. Very unstable internet coverage with Vodacom. 600 MZN ppn.

Report Check-In

We tried tp phone them but phone number on website is not correct. We therefore did not go because of experience of last post.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 11 nights. Beautiful campsite next to the beach. Nice breeze that keeps the mosquitoes low. Be aware to give your car a proper wash before you leave to rinse of the salt. Local fishermen came nearly daily to offer squid or fish. Showers, Toilets etc. are cleaned daily and are in good condition! 600 Metical per Person

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite right on the beach. Accessible with a normal car and normal caravan or motorhome. We loved the site right by the fence. The sea breeze helped a lot to keep cool. Neat ablutions.

Report Check-In

Looks really good. But Sasol has booked out the whole campsite for their workers so not able to camp here for the time being. Perhaps call ahead of your visit. Alternative camping option is a few KM north called Estrela Da Monelise also very nice but they are currently rebuilding a few things so could be disrupted

Report Check-In

Great campsite! Grassed sites under the trees. Beautiful sea views. The ablutions are clean and spotless. The water is lovely and hot. There is a great place for doing dishes. The pool is clean and has deck chairs to sit on and enjoy the sun. We were not bothered by any hawkers.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite, however it can get extremely windy when parked right at the beach. Ablutions clean but not private. Paid 600 pppn. Reception gave us a number to call if we wanted to arrange a boat to islands (due to low season boat would have cost 14000 MT for 2 people). It would have been cheaper in Vilanculos. Site is very quiet, you don't get bothered by vendors or anyone. Bar in the lodge next door looks nice but service extremely slow.

Report Check-In

Nice grassy campsite with shaded areas offering camping close to the beach out of season. Ablutions nice and clean and pool was refreshing. Nice restaurant “Brisa Mar” close by offering full menu and bar. Price as given below. Reception arranged a day-trip for us to Paradise Island where we spend a full day snorkeling in amazing setting. A must do!

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite right on the beach. Very good ablutions, nice pool. Shade everywhere. People sell fresh fish to you, but weren't annoying. Restaurant just around the corner which is nice. We paid 600MZN pppn.

Report Check-In

Most beautiful campsite in Inhassoro offering shady spots on the beach, a pool and clean privat abolutions bathrooms at a fair price. We were served fresh fish from a fisherman every day.

Report Check-In

600Mzn pppn.
Beautiful campsite.
Huge grassy flat area, with lots of trees for shade.
Right on the beach and Can see the ocean from your bed in your camper.
Lovely clean, blue swimming pool.
Toilets are the best we’ve seen in a long long time, clean, stylish and with hot water!!!
A little more that what we usually pay for camping, but definitely worth it...

Report Check-In

super place as described, paradise,we stayed 5 nights

Report Check-In

Very nice green campsite with friendly staff.

They must be use to South Africans camping there for long holidays. The owner was rude and arrogant, when we kindly ask if they give some kind of discount for overlanders wanting to stay for 4 or more days.

Unfortunately it spoiled the experience quite a bit.

Report Check-In

Very quiet, luxury bathrooms, direct at the beach.

Report Check-In

Spent two nights here. As described lovely campsite. Sam super friendly and helpful. Bought fish, crayfish and prawns from Matel. Bonus was being allocated own toilet and shower. Showers nice and hot. A place to return to.

Report Check-In

Decent camp but not as amazing as others commented. Very clean and green though!
Be aware of the high fish price. We had to bargain a lot and reduced 50% of the price.
Boat trip to paradise island also recommended directly from the shore !

Report Check-In

Great place to stay at the sea. Grassy area, we were alone. So nice direct at the beach. Not a lot campground can offer this. We bought fish directly from the fisherman. We enjoyed it.

Report Check-In

As written before huge campsite with all the amenities you can ask for! We stayed there during the off-season and had the place almost to ourselves and we stayed 4 days because it was so chilled! We met interesting co-travellers and we had a lot of fun together. Private ablutions, super clean, hot showers and good pressure. 600MZN ppn, boat trip to St. Catharina island including lunch was 3500MZN pp and can be organised by the reception. Cute and friendly dogs around the beach as well.

Report Check-In

A early post stated it would be closing not true . Wonderful spot to relax ocean front camps ,power, plenty of shade , 3G on Vodacom. Been here numerous times over the years . Well kept site with private abolition’s

Report Check-In

The description is correct. This is a very large campsite. Grass all over. 1 problem they are closed from middle Jan and Feb according to security.

Report Check-In

Perfect campsite. Clean, on grass, large palm trees with lots of shade, wonderful ablutions. Sea view. 100 south on beach a nice restaurant for seafood. Loved it here

Report Check-In

Nice and well maintaind campsite, only two Overlanders when we were here, Nice pool and ocean vieuw, 600met is a bit to much for Mozambique but we only stayed one night so ok. Didn’t go to restaurant.

Report Check-In

We were here the year before. They did some renovations to the chalets and the pool. The camping area is still the same except the price has doubled :-( 600 MTC pppn.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, beach front. 600 MET pppn. Only 2 vehicles here, including me, but space for at least 30. Good ablutions, clean, lots of space, small pool, some bbqs. Good place in general. Fancy restaurant a few hundred meters away but didn’t try.

Report Check-In

There is not much to say more, than what was said before. The nicest, cosiest and cleanest Campsite, ever! As it was low season we even had our own bathroom. The outside kitchen also is very convenient, if you have your own cooker. PERFECT

Report Check-In

Now 600mts pppn, all year. Only a few vehicles so each assigned an ablution unit—10 units.

Report Check-In

Nice place with grassie and shady pitches.
If you want, you can park next to the beach.
In high season it will be busy.
Price now is 400Mt pp.
Beach was nice with white sand, but there was, because of the season, sea weeds on it. But not to much polution like bottles etc on the beach.
About 100 meter south by beach there is a bar/restaurant. To do some shopping, you can walk north by beach for 1 hour. Maybe you will see fishermen pulling the nets to shore full with fish they sell directly on the beach.
Overall, we liked the place.

Report Check-In

The price has been raised to 400 Mt.
We do love this place! Garbage emptied daily, braai cleaned and bathrooms cleaned daily. Quiet and well kept.

Report Check-In

Excellent! Price pp 300 Mets in low season and 500 Mets in high season. They also have rooms with kitchen for 2500 per bungalow (sleeps 4, one doublebed and a bunkbed)

Report Check-In

Same as stated. Price M300,- pppn.
The WIFI at the restaurant(walk to the right when at the beach) was indeed strong.

But the staff was a bit weird. We asked if there was WIFI available: only for guests and after 5 minutes of thinking the waiter told us we could use the WIFI for M100,-. So we asked if we still have to pay the fee if we have dinner there. Again, after 5 minutes of thinking he said we should.
Very strange it took him so long to lie about the price lol.

This place is in wrong location - it is located at -21.56213, 35.22544

Report Check-In

Wonderful place at the sea... grassy Ground with Trees and palms. Ablutions are good. nearby is a restaurant, 5 Minute-walk along the beach. The Restaurant has fast Wifi! We payed 400 MZN pppn because we booked 4 nights.after the 4 nights we wanted to exstend a few days, but they wanted to charge us 500 MZN, what a Nonsens, and not very clever, because we left because of that! In-season the cost is 500 pppn. out-season 300 MZN.
