Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice campsite, trails to beach & dunes & butterfly grove. Bathrooms, showers, garbage & recycling, firewood.
Report Check-Inunbelievably busy for a november weekend, but really nice campground. we did not have a reservation, but the camp host was super nice and gave us a spot that opened up last minute because of a cancellation. if you want to make sure you have a spot definitely reserve online. it's a big campground suitable for all rig sizes, and has dumpsters, flush toilets, showers and water fill up. showers were really nice (temp control, hot, private rooms, GREAT water pressure, tokens are $0.50 each for 2 minutes). fairly clean. we sleep in our car, paid $25/night for no hookups. not cheap but definitely better than risking a $300 fine for boondocking around highway 1.
Report Check-InGreat campground! Really short hike to Grover/Pismo beach which is great if you surf. 25 bucks a night, clean restrooms and showers (high pressure and temp control). Quite some space between the lots. The campground uses a online reservation system which pretty much always says there are no sites left. But do talk to the camp host (really friendly guy) because there seem to be a lot of cancellations or no shows (people book months beforehand) so there are always a couple spots free. Definitely the best place to stay in Pismo!
Report Check-InWe arrived at the campground at 2pm on a Friday but the campground was full. The ranger told us we could park for free in the little overflow carpark between the campground and the road. Lots of. Other vans and RVs did the same for the night. Right next to the road so traffic noise was loud until about 11pm, but you can walk in to the campsite to use their facilities no problem.
Report Check-InGreat camping location! Slept in campervan paid alittle over $25 for a camping spot. Sells out quick so make sure to reserve a spot. Bathrooms and showers on site and short walk to the beach!
Report Check-InDirt parking area right in front of campground. Many overnighters in cars, vans, and rv’s. No signs prohibiting parking. Street noise but other than that we felt safe. Would come again.
Report Check-InJust FYI, the ranger at the front told us we could stay overnight for free in the dirt parking area right in front of the gate. It's right next to the street though so very noisy and big trucks rushing past shook our van. But it's free if you're desperate! We walked in to use the campground restrooms and showers.
Report Check-InNice and quiet maybe because the thunder storm. lol but anyway dry camping with pay shower and restroom.
Report Check-InPulled up at 7:30pm and only about 20% of the spots were occupied and we scored a spot adjacent to the beach path. Nice bathrooms, showers, and water fill up. At $25, this seemed like a pretty good deal all in all.
Report Check-Inexcellent, well-maintained campground with clean facilities. best part is campground is adjacent to beautiful sand dunes and the beach...just walk on over with your coffee. came here thanksgiving day with no reservations. there were about half a dozen spots open, no attendant around 5pm. paid 25 cash dropped in slot.
Report Check-InParked overlooking ocean. Quiet except the sound of the surf. Gorgeous view
