Very nice castle, we thought much nicer than Nizwa castle. Highly recommend a visit. Ro0,5pp. Audio tour is available for a small extra fee.

Very interesting visit. Much better than Bahla fort regading explanation. The price difference is totally justified.
Report Check-InA bit on the expensive side 7€ pp but this must be one of the best preserved and restored castles. You get an audio guide included in the price

Camping is easily available in the surrounding palm plantations for cyclists. Enter over the animal grate on your left as you come from the roundabout. Vehicles could quite likely stay in the parking out front.
Minimal noise from the motorway a couple km's away. Houses at the roundabout but not castle.
Filtered water at the roundabout and finally, toilets at the castle.
