Something not right?

Description

There is a small and fairly level parking lot uphill to the left of the big Bolivar statue between Caseta Don Julio and a restaurant that was closed when we were here. We asked the Policia at the monument and he told us it would be safe to park here for the night. It is just a stones throw away from the police station. Free.

we tried to sleep right next to the monument flags hoerver police came by at 11pm and said it was not allowed. They recommended us this spot right next to the restaurant. Perfect safe night.

Nothing fancy but a safe place to stay. The restaurant closed at 6pm and after 7pm we where totally alone on the parking. Still some noise from the highway during the night.

Report Check-In

We asked the police if it was OK to overnight, they checked our documents, took photos of our driver licenses, and told us it would be fine. We had pizza at Pizza Nostra and were not impressed. A decent overnight if it is getting late.

Report Check-In

We camped here for a night without any problems. The parking is fairly leveled, the bathroom of the restaurant costs 800 COP. The police was very nice, said it was no problem to stay there and offered us some water. Very quiet at night, but it was pretty cold.
