This place has seen better days for sure. Camping costs 5000. These days its run by a malawian. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I used the treehouse to pitch my tent and and prepared food in their kitchen. Really can‘t complain for this price

There are new owners since a couple of month. Sadly it seems they are not interested in campers. We didn’t feel welcome at all. The women who told us she was the new owner barely looked up when we were talking to her. Very unfriendly. Parking only next to the house. No showers, no toilets, place is run down. Trash and dog poo on the ‚campsite‘. The ‚restaurant‘ seems to be the local bar: drunk people at night. We can not recommend this place. It’s better to do your stop-over in Mzuzu, on your way to Nyika Park.

Still the same as mentioned below. Campsite is just the parking for the restaurant. Pretty flat. We could use the bathroom of a room. Cold water, but ok.
Restaurant is pritty good actually and cheap. Friendly staff.

I think it's more a place for the locals.

Overall, a simple stayover for the night when you visited Nyika. We're heading to Livingstonia.

Basic campsite, a bit of plastic lying around. Restaurant looked ok but we didn't eat. Staff friendly, sweeped the shower when we arrived. No power in shower so cold water only (electric shower). Ablutions poor. 4000 kwacha pppn a bit overpriced for what you get. Felt safe.

As said, really just a spot on a dry piece of grass. The place is not well maintained, holes in the ground all over the place and the wooden constructions, including table, were about to break. The bathroom is probably the worst we have seen so far. But the staff is so friendly! They gave us plastic table and chairs, a long cable so we had power and a bucket of hot water so that we could take a shower. They were genuinely asking how we were doing.

The place is ok only if you do not have other option.when we stayed there there was no hot water .the campsite is just a place where you can park .we went for a room which was terible .but since it was late we stayed

We stopped over at this camp to inquire about Nyika game park. The owner manager explained in detail all to us. This is a nice setup. We did not stay and moved on to Lukwe in Livistonia, hoping to return to Park which did not happen also due to high costs to enter park and grass was to high to see any animals.

The place is still very much in under construction, the electric geyser did not work when we were there but we got a bucket of hot water. The place looks rather a local pub than a campsite. Also, some of our clothes were stolen during the night from the line. We do not recommend the place.

A nice place to stop over in Rumphi. Construction is ongoing so the grounds are a little messy but they're working on it. Ablutions are a work in progress but there are two toilets and two showers with electric geyser. Funky little restaurant/bar with well priced pizza and other options. Good breakfast with homemade bread. Very friendly and accommodating Dutch owner and staff. 2500mk for camping, there are also a few rooms.
