Description
Control of a corrupt cop. They want us to pay a fine so-called because we do not have a band while we have the red stripes at the back and the white and red on the sides. I tell him that we do not have to bring a vehicle into compliance on a temporary basis. I told them that I would go back to my vehicle to call the French Embassy. After ten minutes it appears from the police station and tells us that we can leave.

Il veulent nous fare payer une amende soit disant parce que nous n'avons pas de bande alors que nous avons les bandes rouges à l'arrière et les blanches et rouges sur les côtés. Je lui indique que l'on a pas à mettre en conformité un véhicule en imporattion temporaire. Je leur dit que je retourne dans mon véhicule pour téléphoner à l'ambassade de France. Au bout de dix minutes il ressort du poste de police et nous dit que nous pouvons partir.

Tragam sempre carteira de habilitação internacional pra evitar apreensão da CNH. O guarda quis questionar sobra a carteira, mas dissemos que só temos essa pra usar fora do Brasil no Mercosul. A multa aplicada foi de 21000 pesos argentinos e só pode pagar no cartão de crédito. Como cartão de crédito na Argentina o valor é o dobro, saiu por R$524,00 a multa. Tirem engate e andem com carteira de habilitação internacional.

Report Check-InWe went through this check point on our motorbikes and waved us through. They did have a chat with some of the car drivers and checked documents and number plate or just had a look in quickly but didn't seem to stop anyone for more than 30 seconds. They weren't interested in us.
