Description

perfect spot! there's not much I'm yurok but there is a visitor centre. we parked around the back which just seems to be a pretty empty carpark with hardly any cars about. no signs or anything to say you can't park.

there are toilets and water towards back of the visitor centre. toilets are locked at night but there are toilets at the petrol station across the road too.

no signal but you can get pretty good WiFi ('yurok youth centre') by parking outside the second group of buildings as you face away from the visitor centre. you should see what I mean when you get here.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed here for three nights, quiet and dark, 2 others here the first night. Nobody bothered me.

Arrived there around 8:30 pm, parked behind the visitor center, it was a Saturday night we were alone there, we had free Wi-Fi, but no bathroom.
But the gas station has some. We left around 08:00am the next day, a very close and convenient spot next to redwood

Safe, quiet parking lot behind the building for one night. No cell service in the area but I picked up some wifi.

Report Check-In

parked in the back, was very quiet. definitely a good, free spot close to the Redwoods. Verizon service was poor and our TMobile hotspot didn't work at all.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 2 nights with no problem. Incredibly quite. Street behind the Visitor Center is very large. Enough to handle a few rigs. Only one other person there when I was there. This is big rig and class A friendly. Almost zero cell reception. I only got 1 tiny bar on Verizon and absolutely nothing on TMobile. Enough to make a phone call, but couldn’t send text messages all the time. Casino across the street has WIFI and bathrooms. Get a players card (free) and get free money to gamble with.

My husband and I rolled in to stay here for one night but after parking for a half hour we saw several sketchy looking people coming in and out of a camper that looked like it was permanently parked in the lot. One guy had what appeared to be a tire iron in one hand and a bottle of something in the other as he walked around the camper hitting it with the iron. We left immediately and stayed in the casino lot across the street. Felt much safer!

Report Check-In

We arrived around 7pm. No other vehicles around. Parked under the street light & had a quiet, restful, uneventful night 😌

Report Check-In

stayed overnight one night , no issues. no knocks, etc.

Report Check-In

Update: toilets are accessed via a key from the visitors centre main desk: open wed-Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm

Report Check-In

Arrived here around 9pm.
Very quiet and lots of parking.
No signs about “no RVs or no overnight parking”
The water fountain here is modern and state of the art, we filled up everything we had!
Parked directly behind the centre under the street light, there are also a number of cameras around the building for peace of mind.
We will checkout the toilets tomorrow morning, so far so good!
Also free.

We stayed here for 2 nights. I checked in with the person at the visitor center when we arrived to make sure it was cool if we parked out back. She said it was fine and lots of people do it with their RVs and don’t have any issues.

It was quiet and there’s free WiFi from the visitors center. Gas station across the street is the cheapest we’ve seen in Northern Cali so far.
