Latest Check-Ins

There is wifi at the Pool-Room, which works quite well. We paid 360R for a small tent and two people.

Report Check-In

i stayed one night becouse was my only option.
nice.place, clean.
the pool is like a sport pool.

365 one person/night.

Report Check-In

Clean and spacious. Abolutions old,but okay. We paid 280 on a special for 2 adults and 1 child above 2.

Report Check-In

the campsite recently had a fire, 2 caravans burned out in April 2023

Report Check-In

Outdated facility, nice pitches but inventory such as showers and playground etc. in dire need of renovation. What is defective will be repaired, but no more investment will be made.

Report Check-In

Large commercial campsite, 500m walk from the ocean.

Report Check-In

Big, tidy site with a large swimming pool. Today is the last day of the special price ZAR 170 per night, 2 people. Tomorrow is the start of high season and cost is ZAR 600 per night, less 10% for seniors. Season runs to mid January.

Report Check-In

Very basic site: no wifi, no communal area or kitchen like on other camp sites. Expensive for solo travelers (same price as for 2 people). I wouldn't stay here unless there's no time to look for other options

Report Check-In

Dont come here. Its ridiculous, its a Wednesday of low season and its raining. The camp has more than 400 spots and the Lady gave us 4 options to choose!! Because some rally Group will come tomorrow and they get to choose wherever they want and you cannot be there.

Report Check-In

Great Location close to the sea. Lots of shade. Most sites has lawn. Ablution is not really maintained. Two showers and toilet has been out of order for the whole week. Showers are terrible as all the heads are offering sparse streams. The best shower is the one with no shower head.
You are handed a roll of toilet paper when you check in as there is none in the ablutions. You get one roll for 6 days 🙄.
Price in March ‘22 was R300 for two less 10% for pensioners.

Report Check-In

Although there are many nice and quiet‌ places available, bad and noisy places are always given. If caravan clubs have reservations, days in advance you have no chance of getting a decent spot, although 1/3 of the nice spots end up being free. As a single traveler you get the impression that you are not wanted but only tolerated. (We visited Ou Skip four times during two weeks).

Report Check-In

Still the best option for visiting Cape Town. Non-South Africans also get the pensioner discount here. We paid ZAR 300 for 2 people minus 10% pensioners discount = ZAR 270 per night for 2 people. The beautiful Melkbosstrand is within walking distance. Approximately 8 km to Table Bay Village Mall on the R27 with Pick n Pay and Woolworths Food, approximately 10 km to Bayside Mall, approximately 15 km to Dolphine Beach with a beautiful view of Table Mountain. With the public bus directly from the campsite to the waterfront. Etc.

Report Check-In

Ok. good for viewing Cape Town and surroundings.

Report Check-In

I arrived late on a bicycle and they wanted 200R for one person! No way to get a better price but they said that I can bring a friend for free. So if you want to bring back a prostitute, it's the place to go... Needless to stay that I moved on.

Report Check-In

Camping close to Cape Town, clean and well maintained, just 1 night so my impression is that is perfect for a night or 2 but during weekends and holidays it will surely be busy. Whole section if long term/permanent caravans. R240 per night

Report Check-In

Back again, but more crowdy then last year.
Price also increased because of "high season".
We paid R216 for 2 persons and car, with pensioners discount!
At night you can enjoy the sound of the waves.......

Report Check-In

As described. Ablutions are good and clean. The tariff is now 220R per two persons and a car, 198R for seniors.
