Description

Wildlife Management Area (Nebraska MWA) at North River Wildlife Management Area. Free rv and tent camping for everyone, no fees charged, that is the reason it's 3 stars. Stay/camping limited to 3 days at a time as a general rule but, could be allowed longer. Check signage to verify or call # below. Nice area. Roads are gravel/dirt.

Note* As a rule: If you have questions or want to confirm the posed signage, call (402) 471-5531 for a Nebraska Game and Park conservation officer/ranger. All Nebraska WMA's are free to camp for everyone. Check signs as you enter for each WMA's specific's regulations, if there are any. If you want electrical and water hookups for rv's, you will need to go to a $pay fee "Nebraska State Park" or a city park, which are really nice but not free, like the free Nebraska WMA's.

Exactly as described. Very nice spot. Definitely stay here instead of one of the other spots just right off the highway.

Gravel parking lot to the wildlife area, big enough for multiple cars/trucks. Spent the night in my vehicle in the parking lot. Had a group of hunters get there the next morning before sunrise as it's the beginning of hunting season. Would definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Very nice spot overlooking the river. The only downside is that it sits right on a county road, near town, so early evening traffic was present. Not much but noticeable. Overall, a very nice place!

Quiet, serene , shady spot next to the river ! Easy on and off I-80. A few visitors in the morning for boating and fishing adventures

Nice quiet spot for a night. There were a few people fishing when I arrived at 8pm but by 9 it was empty and I had the place to myself. A bit buggy but no more than I expected being right along the river.

Wonderful, beautiful campsite! Only 10 minutes off I 80, it’s a great place to spend the night. Had the whole place to myself.

A nice place to pull off and rest. Very grateful that Nebraska wma has free camping. Cheers!

Good spot for an overnight away from the highway. Some road noise in the evening but very quiet at night. Parked on the edge by the river with a nice view. Hunters started rolling in just before 5:00 am but we’re quiet for the most part.

Nice little spot next to a rio, basically campin in a gravel parking lot but perfect for a night. Cheers!

Don’t come here during hunting season - not dog friendly . Otherwise quiet one night spot

This place is about 100 yards off the road but is very quiet. The drop off from the paved road is severe so a 2wd vehicle may not be able to make it. The area is a parking spot for the WMA along the North Platte River and is very serene...
