MODERATOR NOTE: Place deleted because camping is illegal here. Protected Area
Wildlife Management Area (Nebraska MWA) at Martins Reach Wildlife Management Area. Free rv and tent camping for everyone, no fees charged, that is the reason it's 3 stars. Stay/camping limited to 3 days at a time as a general rule but, could be allowed longer. Check signage to verify or call # below. Nice area. Roads are gravel/dirt.
Note* As a rule: If you have questions or want to confirm the posed signage, call (402) 471-5531 for a Nebraska Game and Park conservation officer/ranger. All Nebraska WMA's are free to camp for everyone. Check signs as you enter for each WMA's specific's regulations, if there are any. If you want electrical and water hookups for rv's, you will need to go to a $pay fee "Nebraska State Park" or a city park, which are really nice but not free, like the free Nebraska WMA's.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
public access road is gated and locked. The sign says it's private property
Report Check-InDirections of all previous posts are wrong. There is no RV parking. Grass is 3ft tall for tent camping. The exit with the Pilot gas station is the way to get there.
Report Check-Inprivate property gate locked very small turn around had a hard time with a 19ft. trailer
Report Check-InNot the best spot. Only reason I stayed here was because it was late. South facing gate is locked with no trespassing signs. I parked my car where the road ended in front of the hunting/camping signage. That's really the only place to set a tent up unless you want to wade through tall grasses. Noise from highway is kind of annoying. Would not recommend unless you have to.
Report Check-InThere was a locked gate about 2 miles from the WMA. I ended up just camping right outside the gate along the side of the road which was quite noisy due to being next to I-80
