.....
Nice free campground on the lake. But with the car, you can only stay in the Parking lot! but its just 30 Meters down to the Lake! With a tent you can camp next to the Lake. Beautiful......:-)

Important: these are “hike in” tent sites only- no driving up to a site or the water. Parking lot is small and very hard for a van to turn around- so no big rigs for sure. Once you park you can walk down short trail to water and campsites. Beautiful- but we don’t have a tent so we slept In the The parking lot :(. Bathroom was helpful !

Report Check-In

Pretty great location, a handful of tent in sites a stones throw from the parking area, and then a handful more down a steep trail on the actual beach. Road was pretty beat up, but made it in a low clearance vehicle

To access this spot you have to take a narrow, low hanging tree, rough rock road for 2 plus miles. We struggled getting down the road with a truck camper. The area was full of trash and toilet paper everywhere. I would not stay here again.

Here is the information for the Forest Service site... From Garfield Bay, take the first road to the left past the Forest Service picnic area. Follow this road for about 3/4 mile. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 532. Take Road 532 about 1 mile to Green Bay Road 2672. Road 2672 is not suitable for motorhomes or trailers. Follow Road 2672 to the parking area for the campground.

Mineral point/ Green Bay camping area. Massive rope swing off the cliff. Cool spot but can be busy. If this place is full there is camping back at Garfield bay.
