Turned up on a wet, hail ridden thursday and there was no-one around apart from some grumpy security guards. As the weather was so bad we camped under one of the concrete communal areas which meant we survived for the night. Bit of an odd place, kind of feels like a holiday camp, if the weather was nicer we’d have preferred to camp in one of the free areas which are more in the proper forest.

The price is now 95 pesos per person. Great place if you want to climb La Malinche. The hike took us 6 hours. It was good to have a hot shower after that.
During the weekend (as I know) there is a lot of food stands.

Quiet campground when we were there a week day. Nice to have a hot shower after hiking the volcano. 95 pesos per person per night. Only downside would be the huge spot lights everywhere. Kinda sucks when your in the forest and you feel like your sleeping in a city cause of all the lights. Wished we had camped in the above parking lot for free the day before the hike, a lot darker.

We stayed one night and paid 85 Pesos/ person to sleep in our van.
There are installations to make fire, bbq and sit under the palapas.
Perfect when you want to hike up the volcano Malinche.

Very nice campsite with good facilities. Wild camped in the area the night before but after the hike to the vulcano summit we were very happy to stay here for the night and enjoy the hot showers. Cabanas available as well but they are VERY expensive. Paid 170 pesos for 2 people sleeping in the car. Had the whole place to ourselves but it looks like it can get crowded during the weekend.

They don't inform us that the showers getting renovated and we can't use them. So the normal price of 80 Pesos p.P. was not okay. We ask them to give us a reduce or other option. First nothing happend, after a argument they allowed us to use a shower in one of the cabanas. Next time we would use the wild camping place just behind. The walk up to the Malinche took us four hours (for 6.1 km!) the way back three. It's a tough cookie.

As of now the park is open. Did not stay at this camp site, just checked in at the entrance and found a free spot.

Pretty nice area. 80 pesos/person and includes clean bathrooms and a hot shower. Worth it if you plan to climb La Malinche.

When I arrived, they closed off the campsite area and I parked at the bottom of the grounds at a large parking lot. It looks flatter down here, but the bathrooms are back up the hill near the entrance.

Really friendly dogs. One of them even accompanied me up to the summit of La Malinche.

Headed up here after we couldn’t find a spot we like in Puebla. We expected it to feel a bit more remote but it really is like a big recreation center/summer camp. We ended up staying in the parking lot as it was raining and we were both worried about getting stuck in the mud, and it wasn’t very flat, in the camping area. Lots of dogs, we befriended one with a bum paw- we were going to take him to a vet/shelter in Oaxaca but he really freaked out in the car. If you camp there and see him, let us know how he is!

Now 70pp to camp. For a park that does not allow dogs there are a lot of dogs around both inside and outside of the fenced resort. Four slept next to our spot (someone had left piles of grass which they used as insulation from the damp ground) and packs roamed past outside the fence which resulted in a lot of barking. As mentioned, very cold at night!

Very quiet and nice campground. But better for tent than RV
70 pesos per night per adult and 65 pesos per night per child. So 270 pesos for a family of 4 persons.

We stayed here one night. It is a good, big and very beatyful place to a good price. There is a lot of staff there and it is safe. Very cold in the night. Hot water in the showers. 60 pesos pr. person. Possible to rent cabins also .

We thought is a nice camping, we even got electricity near the top toilets by the reception and even 3G signal by the microondas, the antenna, really cold for a tropical country, it was a good time to test out our furnace. Killer trek, better be in good shape, five hours to the top and four down, no kidding. Amazing views from the top.

Great place within the pine forest for 60 p per person it's the best and quietest night we had even if on a saturday night there was some music.
if you want to climb the volcano you can park there as the road is closed 100 m ahead.
they let us park the car in the camping area. the guard negociated this for us with the reception.

Nice campground as described below. Cost is now 70 pesos/person. We opted to camp for free nearby (we got the OK from the guard at the campground). It was a Thursday so only a few people at the campground and no one wild camping near us.

yep no dogs. We were hoping to get them to slide. We camped just outside of the camp ground behind the restaurant for free. Asked permission. Cops came by. seemed they just wanted to make sure we were not planning on hiking that night. When we arrived Friday night we were the only ones there. When we woke up there were tons of car. Tons of people. I couldn't get over how many people set of for this hike on a Saturday. The camp ground was crazy noisy with load music and firecrackers all night, and again first thing in the morning. On the trail hundreds of people were backpacking up. Many with proper gear, but hundreds of others carrying Colman tents, garbage bags of clothes and rolled up blankets. We were very cold the night before even in our camper with lots of blankets, so that's why it was so crazy to think they were carrying all that gear up there. We think they will freeze. The hike is up, up, up. We feel like we are in pretty good shape, but had to stop often. We both started to feel pretty sick from Altitude. We probably just need way more time in altitude. We were also told from a local it takes 1.5 hours up, so that's how much water we brought. We hiked well over two hours before we could see the summit, and that was were we started to feel really bad, and the summit was another 1 or 2 at the pace we were going.

really lovely campsite. price is now 60 pesos per person. has hot showers and clean bathrooms, grills and undercover eating areas. the road in is paved and quite nice. the trail head for the volcano is nearby.

Big recreational center with roofed huts to grill. Grassy area for tent camping. Restrooms and hot showers. Cabins also available. Lots of families and groups of friends camping the 2 days we were here. 60 pesos per person. Close to trailhead to La Malinche mountain.

Very nice spot in the middle of a pine forest. Safe, clean bathrooms, warm showers, covered grill/sink area at each site. We paid $60 per person. One update, NO PETS. Huge sign at entrance that says this. We talked to manager, and they let us slide, but don't count on it. Much better spot than Las Americas in Cholula in our opinion. Not far from Puebla.

One of the best campgrounds ever. Each grassy site has covered area with sink and table. Fire rings. Super hot showers and clean bathrooms. Only 120p for two people. Beautiful views.

Tried to camp for free in a lovely, well trodden spot outside the main cabaña/ camping area. Main camping area seemed nice, built out, but parking lot was a bit too far from tent area for our liking. Then the police came and told us isn't wasn't safe and that we should go back to the main area. Oh well. The drive through the park is great. 10,000ft!

Vacation center on the slope of La Malinche volcano with hiking trails nearby. There is a grass field with covered BBQ and dishwashing stations. Bungalows for rent as well. 24-hour security. Hot showers.

55 peso per person to camp. Situated near the trail to climb Melintzi volcano. Excellent campground for the price, sites have covered seating area with grill and sink. There are free camping possibilities on the road into the park.

Good base for the climbing of Malinche volcano. The trail starts at the resort. Sufficient showers and toilets. At the campsite there are beautiful fireplaces, wood can be purchased at the grocery store. There is also a cheap restaurant in the area.
