Beautiful location. Lot A was closed during this time so I stayed in lot B - spot 15. Great tuck away spot.

Very pleasant and quiet campground with nicely spaced sites. Some shaded, some not. There are three loops, two reservable. No generators allowed. Two pit bathrooms on each loop. Water for drinking only and only during April-Nov.

This place is cool to visit! But yeah the campground isn’t great. No matter what loop or spot you have you are super close to your neighbors and can hear their conversations. No cell service in the campground but if you go to the turn off (about a 5 minute walk) you can get a signal to upload on Instagram or download a podcast. I also got a good signal at the end of the road called the high point view area.

Managed to get a temporary spot in Loop A the first night because a registered camper moved out early. Of course there were plenty of reserved sites where nobody showed up but they won't give them away. Managed to troll Loop C (the only loop where some sites are FCFS) at 9:00AM the next day, and was able to register for two nights. Virtually no cell service. Water only by the bottle from a filler. No dump station anywhere in the park. Even gray water cannot go in vault toilets. Traffic through the day on the park road which abuts the outside edge of the campground. Traffic much reduced after sunset.

Winter in this park was nice, but metheorology predicted some snow, so we where able to set our RV on a safe place close to the bathroom.
Next morning it was still snowy, we where able to visit the Visitors Center.
I'm curious about how it looks in summer!

wow screw this place. I have never been so pissed off trying to find a spot in a campground. A giant fuck you to every ahole in a Honda with a tent that took a big rig site. there's tons of campsites, you really had to take a site clearly meany for a big rig? it's so difficult to find a comfortable space for even a very small trailer. what really doesn't make sense is why all of loop A and B were reserved even tho recreation.gov says it's out of season and they don't take reservations anymore

Nice NP camping. Price is 16$ without power. Loop A and B for reservations. Loop C first in first serve. Very friendly hosts.

Really pretty surroundings, especially with the changing of the leaves. Campground is a pretty standard NP campground. Primitive toilets. Campfire rings have grill attachments.

definitely a one night stop. cheap for a national park. first come first serve filled up on a Tuesday at 7:30 pm. nice place.

Van camped one night. Excellent scenery and close to the scenic lookout of the canyon. Only Loop A was available (other loops impassable/closed). Clean restrooms and a few pull-thru sites seem to have been plowed. Killer, expansive views.

Beautiful location campsite is very basic they only have 13 sites and then can fit a 144 sprinter something bigger may have a problem to fit - always check with the Ranger someone took my spot when arrived very late one night - Ranger Tom was very kind and sent me to the end of Rim Loop OMG the most beautiful place to stay next to the ledge of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison - I drove to the North side of the Canyon 2 hours from the South Rim beautiful location but the best view is from the South Rim.
