Description

Huge marr crater in Oregon's high desert, national forest. Multiple established campsites around the rim. Please do not cut or destroy vegetation here! Dry and dusty most of the year. Avoid in winter as the roads are not cleared. Expect wind and cold nights.
DO NOT drive the roads in winter, they are posted CLOSED until March 31 for a reason! Respect the proper use of our public roads here so that they stay in good condition.

Great spot with a lot of disperse sites. You can ride your bike around the crater and also down into it if you wish.

I didnt exactly park here as the road starts to get rocky. my sedan car made it but I wouldn't recommend as the roads are sandy, which is fine, but some areas have big rocks on the path, which was hard to maneuver with a low clearance vehicle. staying here one night as it was stressful getting here

Swung in on an inch or 2 of snow to take a look and stretch legs. Fine in truck w 4 wheel drive with camper on top while towing Jeep. Turn around spots are at the rim. Beautiful spot. Need to come spend a night or two. Any time of year would prob be great.
