The main site now has an eye sore: someone left a car wreck and a couch. The site right at the waypoint is OK, but we moved on a little further and camped on the side of another logging road (at 49.71182° N, 123.03820° W). Very quiet here.

Beautifully wild place to spend time by the river

Lots of spots with good views. I turned off towards this spot and kept going for a bit. There were 2 pull outs with informal fire rings. Made it alright with my 2WD Sprinter. Pretty rough though.

Beautiful views. Got up here in our RWD ambulance conversion. Road is a bit narrow and steep in places but took our time and it wasn't a problem - well worth it!
Beautiful views of multiple mountains

Report Check-In

Was okay for one night, road in was quite bumpy and the spot was quite small and had logging trucks starting around 5:30am, did what we needed it to for being the only spot in the area.

If you life your vehicle maybe don't camp here. My rav made it up fine but the road was very hard on my vehicle. At least 20 mins to get up. Saw a camper van getting towed down on our way up. Personally wouldn't recommend but it is free spot bear Squamish.

Bumpy 15-20minute drive up a dirt road, lots of pot holes but our van made it up and back alright. Turn off is a sharp left just after the second bridge. Free campsite, close to the river, room for about 8 cars so you can easily sleep in your car or pitch a tent (more
tent space further in). Worth it considering this was the only free camping area that was decent around Squamish area!

Amazing spot!! It was hard for us to find a flat spot but the view made everything wurth it. We don't have a 4x4 but an suv and got to this spot easily. I think it is also possible with a normal car in low gear! Incredible view!!

Everything was beautiful until some Chungos started shooting their guns. For a long time all we heard was gunshots. Dog was barking and we were a bit afraid.

Nice place to wake up. There is only on place Flat enough to park level off the road.

what a great place. with a beautiful view around. you can enjoy the sunset. some logging vehicles could wake you up except if you are Saturday or Sunday. same rubbish let by the previous hunter camper but we clean it. enough place for a tent and RV. lqst section to go there is made with big rocks and heavy slope to go there. probably only reachable with a 4×4 car.
