Two very big gravel lots with grand overviews and a lot of space for every kind of camper. The lower one is 100 m away from the road. The upper one is on the hill and has the best view and more privacy.
West of Dempster Hwy at KM 252.

Awesome spot on top of the hill overlooking the Dempster Hwy. You can drive all the way up the steep climb and you will find a large nice flat area. You will not get dusted by passing vehicles as you would if you stayed at the bottom. We stayed two nights with amazing views
Report Check-InVery nice place. We where here with our IVECO TRAKKER 4x4 Overlander.
Also on the way up to Tuktoyaktuk we were here. And then we got a big surprise in the morning when we walked from living unit to drive unit. A black bear on 70 feet distance. Screaming didn't help. It came just towards us. We escaped quickly in the truck. I made a video. And send this home. :-) Our first close meeting with a black bear.
Report Check-InStayed here for two nights because we wanted a rest day from the departed and had some work to do. Beautiful views, plenty of flat solid space. Definitely very buggy so maybe not ideal if you don’t have bug nets or a larger rig to hangout in.
Report Check-InBeautiful and peaceful night. Nice breeze and hardly any mosquitoes! Can’t beat that :) also please take garbage with you!
Report Check-InIncredible 360 view of the valleys! Don't miss this spot for a photo op. Grand view and no mosquitoes!
Report Check-InStayed here on the way up. To get to the upper part is a little more tricky with some rocks in the way. But the lower section is ok.
Report Check-Insuch a great spot for the night, we really enjoyed it! windy so not too many bugs, amazing views and very quiet. definitely a good stop on the Dempster!
Report Check-InThe upper level is still accessible if you go on the right past the pile of rocks. It's disgusting to add your waste and TP to this pile! Anyways, the upper level is awesome, but the small lower level is easier to access yet much less private.
Report Check-Ingreat quiet at this time unused gravel pit, superbe view, apparently as this morning the fog was soup like. No interruptions whatsoever
Report Check-InActive quarry work has left the road to the upper camping spot mostly blocked by large piles of boulders. It can still be accessed with a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle. We followed a path to a lower, smaller area and camped there. Great views and easy access. The conditions will probably change as they continue to quarry the site.
Report Check-InA gravel pit with a stunning view. Lots of space for bigger rigs and far enough from the highway to be private. A couple of other campers came by to check the place out but we were the only ones to spend the night. Could be an bit difficult to find a soft spot for a tent.
Be a bit careful if you climb the hill behind the rock quarries. There are live blasting caps (look a bit like a red shotgun cartridge with yellow plastic wire hanging out the tail) lying around. These things can easily remove a hand if messed with.
Report Check-InTo go to a great spot you have to find a road that gets you on top of the hill. Beautiful view. We did not stayed for the night but filmed great views with the drone.
Report Check-InWe stopped here for lunch and did not like it as a camp spot. It was super muddy and close to the road. It’s actively being used for road work, so there were big piles of gravel blocking half the pit. The view was overlooking a burned forest from a previous fire, so it’s not even a good view.
Report Check-InOur best spot at the Dempster Hwy was here on the top of the hill. Amazing view to Ogilvie River and mountains.
Report Check-InFantastic views, always breezy/windy which keeps mosquitoes at bay a little. Level, ample, quiet (goes without saying, eh), easy access.
Report Check-InVery nice big place on top of a Hill, with an Amazing View around! maby Windy
