Gravel road from village right to the lake edge. Small jetties for paddle boats in season, but for us it was a nice quiet scenic spot with a great view.
Plenty of bird life.
NO dogs and apart from a couple of friendly local policemen out for a stroll, and locals working in nearby fields, no noisy neighbours either.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
good place for one night but sadly already trash around. beside that good place and no one bothered :-)
Report Check-Ingreat place, nice view on the lake and flat land.
windy at night, take in consideration if you have a rooftop tent, it was ok but very noisy 😅
nice place for campers, not necessarily for tents because the floor are mainly stones, difficult to out in the metalssticks to protect the tent from the wind. apart from that: good place with great view.
Report Check-InGreat quiet spot for the night. Seems very popular for the overlanding crowd, we saw two other vans here!
Report Check-Innice spot. quite and with a great view.
didn't see anyone the time we were there.
Good for a night on the way to Copacabana. We arrived late and left early.. only other people were farmers in the field in
Report Check-InBeautiful spot on the lake. Besides the fishermen that came to check out the kombi while we were sleeping, we didn't see anyone else besides bird (who oddly sounded like monkeys). Great spot to break up the drive to Copacabana!
Report Check-InA great stop just a short distance from the highway. It's not super secluded from town but the only locals that wandered through were extremely friendly. We bumped into the bikepackingdk duo, neat folks!
Report Check-InNice quiet place on the water. Good for tents too. We had a police officer come and check but everything was fine. Nice views over the lake.
Report Check-InNice place direct at the Titicaca to stay overnight on the way to Copacabana.
From La Pat take the 2nd street down. It's not so steep.
Nice quiet spot between Copacabana and la Paz. The nicest stars I've seen in my life at night with no moon, could see the Milky Way band easily. Slept well until morning, some fishermen coming and going on boats from the dock there, chatted with a few all friendly
Report Check-Ingood place, windy. don't take the direct street to this point, just go one more block to the en trance of the town that is better to go down. The gps sugestion is a rocky street very abrupt. The lake is los, so is not so easy get water from it.
Report Check-InIt's possible to do a boat tour with Samuel. It's a wood boat decorated with a dragon. The price is 100 bol for 1/2 hour. You can negociate the price. Samuel lives in the village, is friendly.
Report Check-InLovely spot to stay for several nights. Market in square most mornings. Whole trout £0.50. Abundant bird life including rare bittern.
Report Check-InGreat evening views of the mountains round La Paz. A woman opened the toilets for us in the morning.
Report Check-InThank you. This is a great campsite right on the lake, friendly locals and fisherman use the area for their boats. Coming from La Paz look for a large sign for Club Nautica marina and restaurant. Turn left here, take your next right continue for approx 100 meters then turn left onto dirt road that leads you to the campsite.
