Namibia
90 N for 2 adults. Open sunrise to sunset. No wild camping. Takes about 3 hours to go right around. Saw elephants, zebras, hippos, and many more.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
we loved it. small park but we saw a lot of elephants, crocodiles, zebras, hippos, giraffes, impalas, birds...
250 for 2 foreigners and a car.
250 nad for 2 people and a car (foreigner). Lots of birdlife, hippos and crocs. West mahango side we saw giraffes, elephants (bull), and buffalo side is well better for buffalos and might even have more birdlife
Worth it, we spent 2 days to not rush but u could possible cram it in a day if you start by 7 am
There’s multiple viewpoints along river that is not on maps me, just take the path that forks towards river
Report Check-InThere's a main, straight dirt road through the park right to the botder crossing. Off of this road there are 2 loops you can take. The shorter, eastern loop leads you past the river. Pretty solid road, mostly hard sand or gravel-like sand. The bigger, western loop passes a small waterhole (basin). The sand is softer but still fine, we didn't need to reduce tire pressure (Hilux with alucab), so it's not as bad as the staff apparently told the poster below.
Lots of plains game and many warthog. Nice for birding and ellies too. We however didn't see any tracks or signs whatsoever of predators (let alone the animals themselves).
Report Check-InPrices still the same. 100N$ pp for internationals and 50N$ for a car.
Very nice NP with lots of game to see. Impalas, Kudus, Wild pigs, Buffelos, Gnus, Elephants, Ostriches, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Zebras.
We saw it all! The woman at the gate recommended us not to go to the waterhole but rather stay to the riverfront as the 4x4 path is pretty sandy right now and not much game to see.
We followed her recommendation and had a wonderful time.
Prices have changed (like all NPs). Now N$ 100pP and N$ 50 per vehicle.
The good thing is that the ticket is valid also for the Bwabwata Park on the east side of the Okavango river (same day).
Gate open from 06:00-19:00 this season, tar road until 7 km before the gate
Report Check-InAs described - still N$90 for two European adults in one vehicle. Well worth a visit. Much wetter at this time of year - some of the side tracks definitely need 4x4! Possible to see plenty of animals on the main 2WD routes though.
Report Check-InWas on my bicycle and told that I wasn't allowed to cycle through because of lions. Given the 10km of washboard leading up to the gate I'd not rate my chance outsprinting a lion so wasn't too upset, especially when they said I could stay there overnight (arrived at sunset) and they'd give me a lift to the border at 6am. Hot showers and toilets, what more could a man want?
Report Check-In90 N for 2 adults. Open sunrise to sunset. No wild camping. Takes about 3 hours to go right around. Saw elephants, zebras, hippos, and many more. Waterhole is almost dried up right now.
