Quiet place in the forest on a side road.
half an hour north of rio sucio. locals told us its ok to camp here. some horses, dogs and friendly locals coming for a chat and a photo.

Beautiful quiet place in the forest, quite far from the main track. We made a fire there. Access is easy and possible in my opinion by any type of vehicle when coming from Riosucio. The only downside is the lack of sunlight for the solar panels.
Report Check-InAnother nice stay. 2nd time I’ve stayed here. Both times were quiet. The trees are cool. It rained most of the night. Took me just about 2 hours to get to jardín. Jardín is popular. Can’t believe there isn’t pins there.
The road has some holes but it 2 wd.
Report Check-InLovely spot. I cam in on a bicycle and there was plenty of space for me and my tent. Had a local pass by in the evening as I was putting my tent up and said it was ok to camp. Chill spot and I even had a few fireflies in the evening.
Report Check-Inafter 3 hours bumping down this road from Jardin it was nice to find a place to pull out. I would not have driven down this road but it was a dream! immediately away from the road and out of sight with many flat spots to stop. in the middle of a kind of strange eucalyptus farming area the views are very Dr Seuss-like. no one bothered us all night. plenty of firewood. a single farmer with a cow walked by in the morning.
Report Check-Inthe coordinates indicate the road to the left (coming from jardin). there are multiple possibilities to stay or turn around. it ends at 5.422339, -75.739032 with a platform and good view. lot of wild blackberries. no claro reception.
Report Check-InNice wild camp for a night. Not visible from main road. Plenty on spots along this dirt track. We heard music at night but saw no one Use this dirt track while we were here. We left at 0930am

We came from rio sucio and the „main road“ was pretty muddy but doable with 2WD and good tyres. Actually it looks like they are working on a paved road.
Report Check-Inwe checked out the place today. road was ok, also doable with 2wd, but a bit of high clearance will certainly help.
the actual mirador is blocked of with branches, walk down for the view. there are a few pull outs above that looked inviting but we did not camp here.

the actual mirador is a couple of minutes back in the direction of jardin. coordinates only saved when i was done typing...
the road from jardin is pretty bad and in one part extremely muddy with a high danger of sliding off the road. at the moment only doable in good 4x4 (we only just made it with our pickup truck. when they repair this part though the road should be doable without 4x4, just allow about 3 hours for the jardin-rio sucio stretch. but please check about this muddy part before you leave!)
