Latest Check-Ins

When we arrived in this place the road was closed, so probably coosed for the season.

Report Check-In

Nice campsites. Some with electric. Closing for season 10/01/2023. No dump station. Recommend this but hard to reserve.

Report Check-In

We have no idea where the last post found the showers and dump station at this site. We promise that they don't exist. There is a water filling station and pit toilet. Electric at some sites but these are taken early. Trees make solar inefficient at many sites. But nice enough and reasonable price for Yellowstone. $24 for basic site, $32 for electric. Website says it closes Oct 10. It actually closes Oct 1.

Last night I was stayed here,24$ dry camp, pit toilet, no dump, no shower.

Report Check-In

the bookable spots were already booked up. so we arrived in hope that there was some first come first served spots available. we were in luck as the Campgrounds host was very useful and told us which spot is packing up ready to leave. the hosts were lovely and helpful. campsite was very convenient for the west entrance of Yellowstone National park. river runs alongside the campground which was lovely. mosquitos bite more than the fish though!

Report Check-In

This is a great place to stay and one of the least expensive places to camp in this area. As of 08.04.2023, the price for an electric hook up site is $32 and without $24. The camp host said Bakers Hole is going to be switching to a reservation system, but I'm not sure when. The Internet is sketchy, so you may not be able to work while here.

Report Check-In

Paid $24 per night. I was lucky to get a site as almost all were booked. Its better to book ahead at rec.gov during summer time.

Report Check-In

Day use free says zero dollars. Easy water fill and trash.

Report Check-In

Gallitin National Forest campsite by the river. Pay fee in box $24 (need exact cash or a check). Easy access from road near West Yellowstone. Cleanest pit toilets we’ve encountered.

Report Check-In

One of the few campgrounds close to Yellowstone Westgate that is open in May.
$24 without electricity. Camping sports are very close to each other, not nice if your neighbor keeps the generator running for long time.
Camping spots have table and fire rings. We picked one on the river and the location was nice. Other spots are in the wood.

Report Check-In

Nice campground just outside West Yellowstone. We pulled in around 7:00 pm and took the 1st open site which has electricity. This site number is 41, which backs to 191/287. We could hear the traffic noise. We have a camper and the noise is not bad during night. There’s water but no dump station.

Site #62
Cool campground right outside of west yellowstone (about 5 mins). Pretty much what you’d expect from a national forest campground. Clean & easy. I think we were in site 62 which was right on the river and had its own private beach. Great spot to watch the sunrise! FYI- the mosquitos were pretty bad.

Report Check-In

There were a few spots available when we pulled in Sunday evening. Quiet campers but it’s very close to the highway. Friendly host.

I have two bars of Verizon. I did see one bar as I drive around the campsite. Large well spaced campsites. Very clean. Shade or sun. Take your pick. $20 a night or $10 with senior pass. Noise from the highway, but 3 miles from town.

Report Check-In

Beautiful large USDA Forest Service campground just outside West Yellowstone. First come first serve. No Verizon. Weak AT&T. Camp hosts.

Report Check-In

Great campground, helpful staff, some spots are wooded some are more open and near the Madison river, great area for fishing.

Report Check-In

Currently peak season, so it is $20. Or $28 for sites with power (labeled on site posts). They offer discount for golden and access passes which takes off $10. Has camp hosts. Multiple pit toilets. Mostly level sites. Some pull through. Fills up early, we were there just after 9 and we got the second to last spot. Self check in. Find a spot, then fill out the form and pay, post the dates on the site pole number per instructions on envelope. Most leave a tent or chairs if they leave the site to continue to “claim” it, just in cases. Has a creek behind some sites, but covered in grass. Currently tons of mosquitos everywhere. Fire pits, food storage, and table at every site. Most sites fit 2 vehicles. Around 70 sites total. Well kept.
