Two spots at this location. A nice big open beach, up against some bluffs, hidden from the road and nearby town but could be frequented by locals by day (empty by night), and breezy. The other option, opposed to driving down to the beach, is to drive up the hill to a large flat landing, not completely hidden, but enough, especially at night, with shelter from the breeze. We stayed up top as the beach was popular when we arrived.

Stayed 1 night uphill. Flat, great views on the titikaka lake. Unfortunately, a bulldozer and truck came at night and started digging the gravel out, couple meters away from us. We got completely covered in dust.
Furthermore had a good quiet night.
the hill next to the road is a very good option, level, hidden, right next to the road but low noise, still a view on the lake. very good option when arriving late on the crossing
Report Check-InWe wanted to go to the beach to lunch but we missed the exit (coming from Bolivia) so we drove up the hill. It was very sunny and quiet even in mid-day, no one around, not so much garbage, and not so much noise from the road. Good for one night
Report Check-In600 m down to the lake on a dirt road. Behind rocks a wide sandy Beach. Could be windy. Unfurtunately a lot of rubbish in the caves, but a good view. No services arrond. In Yunguyo, 13, km you can supply yourselfs. We stayed for ohne night because the road was blocked on strike for two days.
Report Check-InYikes, we drove down to the beach first and explored, waited until the sunset and cooked with a fire right on the beach. Two police showed up and checked our vw kombi, licenses, passports and strongly recommended we leave because it was not safe and there were recently two robberies down there. we then decided to move up to the bluff above but were there for maybe 45 minutes before what seemed like an entire SWAT team showed up and banged on our windows. they also told us it was really not safe there and asked we followed them to the entrance of town where they have a little police stop, so we ended up sleeping there.
Report Check-InWent to the beach first, but after a visit of two locals who asked if we were camping on the beach we decided afterwards to move to the hill, just for the safety. Both places are nice, good views.
Report Check-InThe cove is perfect (other than the rubbish blowing around. Ver quiet and peaceful. A few on the beach (Sunday) but all gone before sundown. As we have a roof tent we only camp wild if secure and in this spot anyone would have to come almost down to the beach to see you. Perfect.
Report Check-InParked down by beach, tucked in a cove against the bluffs below an abandoned building. Undisturbed and quiet.
Report Check-InWe stayed by the beach as there was no one around. Somewhat littered, but pretty. There is an old abandoned building here that at first had us worried we were driving up to a house.
