Something not right?

Description

Not the greatest camping. Lots of RV spots, if you tent camp you can place your tent at the back of the park. They have spots with a mixt of gravel and sand. In front row, you will see full hook-up places but they don't belong to the park. You have to reserve those places. Next to the camping you will find restaurant, general store, fuel station, and has bathrooms. Overall a decent place to camp in Death Valley. 14$ / night

Report Check-In

We came in a busy week-end and they still have place to camp. In front row they have around 10 full hook-up place, but those places don't belong to the park, so they are not FCFS. You need a reservation and the register office is the other side of the road. The park is close to a lot of places, you can go to the dunes on night time see the stars and mosaic canyon is very close.

Report Check-In

There is a great sink area to fill water jugs just west of the bathroom. We were assured by a ranger that it is potable water.

Report Check-In

As others have stated. Note the fresh water pressure is very low so anticipate a lot of time to fill your tank. Took me about 25 minutes to take on about 40 gallons

Tons of spots with beautiful views. Was not very busy when we stayed here. Had T-mobile service.

Report Check-In

A big parking lot but has a lot of good amenities. Tent camping is limited.

Report Check-In

We stayed here two nights. The plan was to stay for one but the weather was so nice in the middle of winter so we couldn't resist another night. Decent price, only $14. Wasn't too busy when we stayed, no campers within 2 spots which was nice. The hotel across the street offers showers for $5. there are other options for camping in the area...Wildrose is the only free one but it's first come first serve and it's 4000 feet up so...colder.

Everything I’m sure what others have said except for the fee..

The fee is $ 7.00 US dollars if you are 62 and older with the American Beautiful or a wounded veteran. Otherwise it’s $ 14.00 US dollars period. No matter what pass you carry. The showers across the street still 5 us bucks no limit on time hot… includes the swimming pool which is heated…

The The amenities in the campground include one general bathroom with sinks running water. There is also potable water and black and gray dumb included in camp ground fee. General store carries just the basics potato chips candy bars beers and sodas and a few collectible items.

A big gravel parking lot, no shade. Toilets no other facilities. Poor cell (3g only on Verizon), but Starlink works great. $7 a night if you have America pass. $12 of not. Good location if you are in Death Valley.

Report Check-In

best place to camp inside Death Valley! $14 kiosk. they do check that you paid - saw a ranger going around checking receipts at 6.30 in the morning. usually no problem getting a spot. across the street, for $5 a day they give you unlimited use of the showers and the pool! you can really relax as if it was a resort for a total of $19! T-Mobile didn't work for me, but it works for some people. wifi across the street works reliably

Report Check-In

Decent option if you want to stay in Death Valley for a night instead of driving through the entire park and back out in the same day. $7 with annual pass, $14 without.
T-Mobile is the only cell provider here that covers with 3G/HSPA+, sub 1mpbs speeds but better than no coverage on AT&T and Verizon

$14 night . Big parking lot . Has a toilet and a general/souvenir store near.

Report Check-In

I've never seen a national park campground like this, but it is literally a giant gravel parking lot. Just big parking spaces for your trailer or RV, 14$/night.

Contrary to what others have said there are tent sites in the back and on the left when you enter. tent sites get fire rings and picnic tables. overall there are about 200 sites, about 25 of them for tents.

In late October, only 2 campers were there. you can't run your generator after 7pm so it doesn't seem like a viable option until winter time but if you don't mind sleeping in the heat then it's perfect. there's a bathroom and the view of the mountains is beautiful.

Campground was closed on our visit due to lack of NPS staff. The hotel has a camp ground but don't expect the hotel receptionist to help. We had broken down and he made us push the van out of their land 😡

Report Check-In

not the biggest fan of this campsite but it was handy to have the toilets and running water (and free drinkable water) in the middle of Death Valley.
lots of people seem to sleep there.
it's 14$ full price, 7$ half-price. Paid half price and nobody even checked our ticket ..

Report Check-In

Flat gravel lot close to the dunes. It was pretty empty. Clean bathrooms, big sinks outside to wash dishes in. They have water & dump there as well

Report Check-In

Basically a gravel parking lot but lots of level spots.

Report Check-In

Good place for a night. Very close to the dune. 13$ per night

Report Check-In

Nous avons demandé une nuit sans électricité pour dormir simplement dans notre Van et pouvoir prendre une douche. Nous avons pu dormir gratuitement sur le parking principal à côté de la piscine et payer juste 4$ pour l'accès aux sanitaires. Parfait

Report Check-In

nice overnighter spot for RV and camper trailers mostly. a few people in tents but looks gravely. but fuel was 3.14 here!! crazy cheap in regards to the surrounding hills. brew pub nearby too for eats and drinks if looking to get away from cooking for a night. Not very busy with tonnes of spaces.

Report Check-In

Camped there yesterday and it was pretty busy cause of working holidays but a nice spot to camp and having a fire.

Shower at the opposite side, still 4$ each!

Report Check-In

Gas is 4.17, but still the cheapest solution in the area... no diesel. You can get a keycard to the pool and its shower (a life saver after a hot day in DV!!) for 4 dollars at the registration office of the facility opposite the gas station.

Report Check-In

gas here is 80 cents cheaper than Furnace Creek (3.08/g for regular)

Report Check-In

Not the greatest camping. Lots of RV spots, if you tent camp you are left with placing your tent on the gravel parking lot they have created. It is next to a restaurant, general store, fuel station, and has bathrooms. Overall a decent place to camp in Death Valley.
