Nice camping with sites in the riverbed. Friendly owner. Ablution with hot (donkey) shower and flushing toilet. There is a big community space where you can sit. There is battery light at the ablutions but not yet at the community place. Water is crystal clear and potable.
There are also tents for hire.
Price 200 pp included firewood and the friendly dog Lucky.
Walks in riverbed and to an artificial lake with fish, Sayles.
Simcard with data gives you slow internet.
The tel no on tracks4africa is wrong. Breakfast and dinner on request. Game drive and Sundowner on request. Great area for sightseeing.

firstly, Kaliombo was never closed! Secondly,it is a great place. pool, Lapa ,tents, and camping area are clean and in top condition. Very quiet, safe, and secure.

I had a great day there, even if it was only for the night.
I was greeted with a very cold beer 😂 and the next morning owner Hans gave me a ride to the tarmac so I could continued my tour to Swakopmund.
We arrived late and the owner offered us some dinner for 100 ppn. and camping at 250 ppn. He sat with us at dinner. He said that he is of the far right and started talking politics. He is racist and that made us feel quite uncomfortable. Campsite was clean and they made a fire for us in the common house where there is tables and a sink. They also heated the donkey shower.
Report Check-In... owner ask for 250pppn ... and mentioned that this is nothing when you are from Switzerland... I think this is a bad thing.
campsite are very close to each other...
owner had a party... was loud at night and at 6.00 in the morning they started cleaning...
he also told me that we know nothing because we don't take a guide!!!! ( he knows all)
the place does not use his potential and 250 pppn is far to expensive for this place
for me it looks like ... he wants to have a easy tourists rip off
he also offers car maintenance... for me it doesn't look professional...( it's separate mentioned in ioverlander)
Beautiful place, well maintained, donkey and fire for the braai was lit for us. We had the whole place to ourselves. 200,-pp
