Camped here last night. Quiet, but close to the Hwy. Spot is flat and just big enough for our extended Transit. Two trucks drove by in the evening at about 5 and 7pm but otherwise no traffic. No cell signal for T-Mobile or Verizon. Our dog growled quite a bit last night, which is unusual behavior for her. Found big cat and deer tracks outside the van this morning. Probably nothing to worry about, just a reminder to keep your pets close!
Report Check-InStopped at the first site because it was getting dark when I arrived. Two spots, one level one nearly level. Saw no one all night, but woke up to a swarm of mosquitoes the likes of which I hadn’t seen since Minnesota. Picaridin stopped some but not all. Glad I had screens in the windows already or I might’ve died of blood loss during the night.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot only a few cars passed by over the course of the night. However big animal outside my car and my mothers tent. Didn’t get a whole lot of sleep. Teeming with mosquitos. Looked for tracks in the morning think it was an Elk.
Report Check-InWe were planning to go to crater lake, but there was still a lot of snow. The road that was suppose to be there was only whiteout snow for about 200m so we stopped here for the night arrived at 8:30pm and left at 6:30am. No noise at all very dark. But we couldn’t access to crater lake the next day because of the snow.
Report Check-InWe parked just around the corner of the main highway as far in as we could since the road going in was snow blocked. Worked just fine, no one bothered us, it was safe and quiet.
Report Check-InClosed off with snow, at the time we tried to go there! I don't know if this is normal during winter or if it's only temporary, that perhaps the snow wasn't removed yet.
Report Check-InI followed the latest recommended spot, I went to the crossroads and hung a right, went down a little ways right before the sign that said narrow steep ahead and on the right hand side there were all kinds of little networks of roads. pulled far enough off the main road So that I wouldn't get dusted out by any vehicles going by coming by. nice and quiet although I imagine it might be busier during the summer time. I didn't see another person out here and only one car drove by o the main road early morning. much better than the area around diamond Lake. that was much busier the last time I went. plenty of room for bigger rigs to come in, I would just walk it first and watch for some super low hanging branches. No cell service with Verizon.
Report Check-InJust keep going after the noted spot and turn right at the crossroads. Spot #890 near some huge pines is large enough for multiple vehicles. Right by the sign that says narrow road, downhill grade. Very quiet, even with nearby neighbors. Secluded. Nearby Crater Lake. No cell service. Mosquitoes. We were here during massive heat wave. 103 and no breeze, but cooled down 30 degrees overnight.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Perfect for small can or car. Tucked away no road noise
Report Check-InLoved this place! We found the first spot empty and pulled in and set up camp. There is room for two vehicles, so we set up to one side. There was a nice rock fire pit and someone had left some firewood.
We slept peacefully and didn’t see any wildlife or any other vehicles. There was some motorcycles off in the distance about 7:30am in the morning, but it wasn’t loud enough to be a problem. A great place to stop and chill.
We found about 6 spots back here. Had to drive a bit farther back since all the ones close to the highway were taken. Didn't have any cell service ATT or Verizon even with a booster. Still a nice enough spot for the night close to Crater Lake.
Report Check-InGreat little spot! You might be able to fit 2 cars in this spot. It was very quite and no one bothered us. It’s a bit hidden so you need to look for it as you drive down the road on the left side.
You will want to get there early.
Once someone is in the spot... it’s taken!
If that happens to you sleep in the snow park.
A bit of a small area for a large van or a camper, but easy to find and close to Crater Lake NP.
Report Check-InGreat spot in the forest! Quiet and clean! Let‘s keep it like this! Thank you
Report Check-InAs described above, good spot for a small van, easy to find and quiet at night.
