Still 113 pula pppn (Chobe Safari lodge is 225 pppn).
perfect ablutions, always hot water and high pressure.
we recommend

Report Check-In

Pretty good campsite, lovely clean pool and clean ablutions. I paid 113P in January for one nights camping. I picked campsite no. 1 at the back because it's the furthest away. Campsite no. 9 and 10 are behind the ablutions and quite hidden. A good place to stopover in Maun, the road can be a bit noisy. The staff are also friendly. Overall recommended.

Report Check-In

Good and clean ablutions, pool, a lot of grass and some shade depending on the assigned site. This is the third campground we have tried in the area and now we stick to it. Around the reception and in the bar and restaurant decent WiFi. 132 BWP ppn. The only downside are too many large tour operator groups traveling in trucks.

Report Check-In

Great camp site. Clean ablution facilities with hot water. Bird viewing amazing in campsites, swimming pool and restaurant with amazing food. Offers day trips to Victoria falls.

Report Check-In

only two free campsite available when we arrived at noon, both without shadow (1 & 3) but with grass instead of dirt. site 1 is with river view. ablution looks good to and clean. kids (3 + 5) not charged.

Report Check-In

We liked this spot. We had a huge site for our little tent with a big shelter for shade, water tap, table for cooking etc. 132pula pp. It’s very leafy, lots of birds etc - we found it peaceful and quiet. We asked if the water was potable and the receptionist said it was better for us to drink bottled water but that he drank the tap water. We drank it anyway and felt fine.

We did the Chobe River Tour from here - 380pp fee + 190pp park entrance fee. Leaves at 14:45 from the reception. We saw an incredible number of animals inc hippos, elephants, crocs, giraffes etc. The game drive is the same cost (although you only have to pay the park entrance fee once if you do both on the same day) - it leaves at 05:45.

Report Check-In

It seems, that the main concerns from the owner is Money Making. Lots of Groups, kind of impersonal. We wanted to eat out one evening, almost everything out of Stock, 2 h waiting time. Our Campsites had no Braii possibilities, no water nearby, 2 Ablutions only for this pretty big Campsite & a lot of time, No hot water to shower! We didn't like the Vibes there

Report Check-In

Good place to relax, ablutions neat and nice. The staff is very not friendly though.

Report Check-In

Good clean campsite and big rig friendly. Paid ZAR1200 for 2 nights (2 adults and 2 kids u/9)

Report Check-In

no recommendation, there is the garbage dump of the whole city nearby. and sometimes the garbage burns. the toxic smog comes to the place when there is no wind, especially at night

Report Check-In

We arrived late and we could see much
At the reception looks like a very pleasant place
Clean toilets.

Report Check-In

Good value and friendly staff. Sites vary between grassy with little or no shade to sandy underfoot with more shade and probably intended for overland truck groups. Electricity and bin at most sites but some without taps or fireplaces. Those close to the river have little view as the undergrowth has not been trimmed back. There is an electric fence on the river boundary presumably to deter hippos etc from coming into the grounds but it may not have been switched on during our visit. There is a pool at the riverside campsites and the ablutions are fine with outside scullery for dishes. Wifi works at the reception. Also very nice rooms available plus a restaurant and bar. Thebe organize river cruises and safari drives. P130 pppn camping.

Report Check-In

Campsites with electricity, light and fireplace. Site 1 has a bit of River-view. Reception is very friendly, unfortunately the rest of the staff are very lazy. Fireplace was cleaned after 3 days and the ablution after 2 days. Slow Wi-Fi at restaurant. We paid Pila 120 pppn.

Report Check-In

Kasane is horrible. Noisy, crowded, nothing pretty about it. We stayed 2 nights to visit Chobe flood plains (amazing) and trying to figure out which country to go to next. Noisy at night, showers ok, no place to do proper wash up for dishes. Amazing pizza at the restaurant. Site 1 used to have river view but is a bit grown closed now, still a nice view further down beside the site and is one of the nicer sites (but a bit far from the ablutions).

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite a bit away from the lodge. Toilets and showers are very clean. No WiFi at the campground, but you can use tye big terrasse at the lodge, which has an amazing sunset view over Chobe River.
Crocodiles come up from the river close to the campsites. Lots of monkeys and warthogs, so don't leave any food out.
saw enyala just next to the campsite coming for water at the river.

Report Check-In

It seems like they cater mostly for big overlander trucks because there are 7 or 8 big sites with lapas, braai, water etc and only a few smaller sites for campers. However due to Covid there were no overlander trucks so we were allowed to stay in a big site with a lapa. Water not drinkable. Showers were amazing, ablutions block new and very clean. Wi-Fi at reception. Good for an overnight stay. 95p per adult children half price

Report Check-In

Very nice location next to the river. New an clean ablutions. Friendly staff. Beautiful boat safaris!
We stayed for 3 nights before travelling further to Zambia.

Report Check-In

Grassy campsites. Some with an view on the river. Some have lapa and some just on the grass. There were some groups when we stayed here.
There is an ShopRite in walking distance.

Paid P95 pppn, children half

Report Check-In

2nd time for us. Best place overall for camping in kasane.
Make sure you pick a shaded site when it's hot for the morning times!
Still hot showers, 1 shower is blocked for over 3months now but overall nice place.
WiFi only at reception.
MTC signal very very weak.

95 pp/pn

Report Check-In

Paid 95 pula p.p per night. Nice grassy sites, site 4 has the most shade (2 and 3 have none). Showers are very good (powerful and warm). Wifi was ok, only available at reception and restaurant. Restaurant was ok. Friendly staff. For 95 pula very good value for money if you're looking for a place around Kasane.

Report Check-In

Huge Campsite for overland groups and individual campers. Some sites with shade and/or grass. Swimming pool close to No 1 and also only site with river views. Main bathroom block clean and with hot water. Others seem to be a bit neglected. Close proximity to shops. Overall ok. Our rate was BWP95 pp (SADC).

Report Check-In

Lodge & camp. Rooms have air con, but no fridges or TV. Also, there's no river view, though in fairness that applies to most similar places in Kasane/Kazungula. It would be unfair to judge it poorly given the ravages COVID inflicted on tourism, and the staff are friendly and polite. Potable water, hot and cold showers. Cost in SA rand was 1,735 for two nights one person in a room. very comfortable beds. Wasn't bothered by mosquitoes because rooms also have ceiling fans. Basic restaurant with pizzas and steak options, plus a bar. Rooms are set around a courtyard. No smoking rooms.

Report Check-In

Probably the best place to camp in Kasane. I’ve stayed and Chobe River Lodge several times too, and unless you’re in a chalet suggest you stay here at Thebe. Pitches are grassy near the river (sites 1-4) and most of them have thatched lapa to provide shade (not 1 and 2 though). Price was good at 120pppn. Nice bar and pool to relax. Needs maintenance (as does pretty much the rest of Botswana…)

Report Check-In

95 pppn. Pretty nice place, grassy ground for most sites with place for fire an braai. Lots of power plugs. Hot shower sometimes ran out of water. WiFi is ok only at reception area not at campsite. At the campsite BTC barely get reception.

Report Check-In

For a campsite close to the city (or in the city) it is lovley. Don‘t expect peace and quitness that you only will find in the bush. So the Wi-fi is a bit slow which could be better. I also checked chobe safari lodge and i personally think thebe river safari is nicer. The restaurant is open and they have delicious pizza
Price 120pula-ppn right know

Report Check-In

Not sure what other people find so nice here, its a big lawn or large overland sites with more privacy, the standard braai and bathroom building with good showers but some noise from the road so 1 night was ok, price also jumped back up to 125P plus 10 P tax per person...restaurant and bar are closed at the moment. However it’s much better than Chobe lodge which is cramped and no privacy whatsoever.

Report Check-In

special price in june 2021 : 85pula ppn, + 10Pula ppn government tax levy.
half price for kids, free for kids under 6. the lady at the reception told me they should keep this price until December 2021.
very nice hot shower, electricity on site.

Report Check-In

Awesome campsite that also has rooms, a pool, bar and restaurant. They offer river cruises and game drives into Chobe at really good rates.

The campsites are geared toward large overlanding groups and thus most of the campsites are very big with lots of large well kept ablution blocks. However due to the lack of overlanders due to covid it was very peaceful and restful.

Only campsite 1 has a good river view.

Paid P95 pppn. Had pizzas and beers at the restaurant and took a rover cruise. Very well priced and an awesome place to stay if in Kasane

Report Check-In

Price now is 145P, only camp #1 have view to the river, Wi-Fi only at the reception or restaurant.

Report Check-In

Nice place, friendly staff, large campsites, good pizza in the restaurant. Pool water dirty, we did not swim.

Report Check-In

we had no reservation but could choose between place 1,2 or 3. we take no.1. wonderful. we payed 135 pula ppn.

Report Check-In

Camping is now 135 Pula pppn, make sure you look at the campsites, some are much smaller than others.

Report Check-In

not bad for camping overall electric at sites, I was at number 1 which offers good shade in the afternoon, during most of the day it could be hot due to lack of shade at noon, other sites look well shaded and nice, way better than the last camping end of town which looked like campsite was a after thought, my main gripe is disgusting condition of pool and will be making a formal complaint with management

Report Check-In

Campsite as described earlier. We were at no 2, taking advantage of the shade of the tree present. Campsite is fenced so no wild animals between the tents. Bar&restaurant (pricy). Used frequently by Nomad so can be crowdy. Possibility to book cruises and game drives. Ablutions are OK with hot water. Swimming pool is present but not of this century (concrete) and hardly used. 125 pppn.

Report Check-In

We just loved it! Campground number 1 is awesome. You have your own hut with light and also the small pool is right next to you. Beautiful sunrise. 125P ppn is okay for what you get. And also the showers and toilets are very clean and nice.

Report Check-In

We didn't come for the Internet (which was free but indeed only available around Reception and Restaurant and very slow). We came for Camping and really enjoyed the large, grassy Spots directly at the River. Braai Pit, Light and Electricity available on Sites, some Sites come with Shelter. Pool was okay but not very clean. Ablutions were also okay but also not very clean. Nice Bar. Busy Place with lots of Safari Groups but you won't be bothered as the Place is big enough. The best Sites are Number 1 or 2 directly at the River. We had Elephants, Buffaloes and Warthogs passing by frequently. 115 P pppn.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, friendly reception. We saw a lot of elephants in the near of our place. Bar and restaurant are not at the riverfront and a little bit noisy. Wifi was very good.

Report Check-In

Used Camp No. 1
Thatched Roof above concrete surface. Stone Table. Electricity plug and light at the campsite, but no tap.
Tap is near the ablution block (hot water).
For security reasons the management recommends to lock the car at night.
Swimming Pool is not in the best conditions. Weak Signal (E) with Orange .
Bar and Restaurant (didn't go there)
115 p.P.

Report Check-In

First we arrived the reception told us that campsite was full. We asked again and she answered 'full'. Then we ask what we could do. Then there was suddenly a spot free. Number 3, just have a look. Number 3 was not that nice and number 2 was also free. We asked for nr 2 and that was OKé. Strange kind of way to get campers into your place.
The rest was fine. Ablusion looks very nice with the ried roof all around.
Price: BP115 pp
Spot nr 1 is the best place!

Report Check-In

Terrible Internet! If I knew that the Internet is so disgusting, I would not stop at this place.

Report Check-In

Big campsite. Friendly reception. Large sandy sites. Electricity at sites. Wifi at restaurant. Catering for overlanders and big groups. Smaller groups/individuals welcome.
