Great campsite with quite a few spaces. Also a great little beach with views nearby

Report Check-In

This place is amazing!
One of our favorites so far.

There is a campground, $22, running water toilets, sanded tables and possibly showers.
But we didn’t stay there.

You can camp alongside the river for miles and there are toilets in the beach.

Incredibly silent and quiet, super wild and beautiful. Truly a special place!
Bring water toys!

amazing view. BLM around.
COLD shower!
campsites tables have a hut/shadow cover, nice

Cool camp spot, plenty of BLM land around right at the water if you don’t want pay for hookups. No LTE service however.

We came here to camp a night or two, but ended up doing blm camping on the beach. I would not recommend unless you have an rv, or a complete rig setup. The bathroom is so buggy you can not even use it. We actually left after the fireworks show, (no fireworks allowed? Lol) it sounded so loud, we ended up going over to WY in the morning. The Campground is nice. If you have the money just stay there.

Camped one night in the campground here - about 20 sites, a few doubles, and the rest mostly “duplex” - large parking pad for two groups, a single shelter with 2 sides. Kinda weird, but was only 30% full or so. Sites all look down on very large reservoir and across to gorgeous rock pillars across. $22 a site, or $11 with senior pass.

Notable: The nearby shoreline of the reservoir is BLM land and is accessible from good roads. A number of people were camping along the reservoir. One told us that the campground host told him that they were free to camp along the reservoir. In fact, the entire area is BLM so I doubt there’s any restriction on camping.

this was my favorite place we visited so incredibly beautiful

Initially was going to drive out but my girlfriend requested to do one more loop. I parked in camp-site 20 to use the restroom and we ended up staying! So happy we did!!!!
Epic night of shooting stars!
Campground is elevated and the river is below, it’s a short walk down (over what can be slippery slopes) to get to the closest water but you could drive or take a long walk or a bike to the beach. The craziest thing is you are right next to somebody - like if you shared a balcony deck at an apartment complex. You’re right there!
It’s the craziest thing ever - but luckily no one stayed next to us.

Beautiful canyon! 20 $ per night but the place is amazing. Dump station, water, boat launch, rattle snakes.
