Nice place to camp with a camper van. Just don't stay in the parking lot... Drive the small way up to the shelter, it's much nicer up there. As there are no toilet facilities, a shovel would help to reduce the huge amount of toilet paper that is flying everywhere.

Fantastic spot next to the thermal ponds. A bit windy and cold at night, but we had the place to ourselves. Took a refreshing warm dip in the pools nearby with a great view of the volcanoes. Free.

Free campsite on small ridge overlooking the beautiful volcano. It's high so chilly at night but not below freezing when we stayed there. It was very windy in the afternoon but after 8pm was calm all night. There is a well built shelter you can put a small tent in if the weather is windy or wet. The geysers are worth a look and it's very quiet unlikely you'll see other tourists. The road in is a bit bumpy with two small river crossings, vehicle with decent clearance is ok but big motorhomes might want to reconsider. We were fine in 4x4 Mitsubishi Montero.

Nice camp spot with great views of the volcanoes. A bit windy but there was also a small shelter for a ground tent. The geyser field was pretty cool too! Free.

Big rig note: At the beginning, the road up to the Geysirs is good (some small rivercrossings). But the last 2km get very narrow. But we made it with our 11m/15t truck.

Great spot at the geysers. It was nice to be on the hill overlooking the Valley. Cold overnight (of course) but absolutely idyllic. Free. Recommended.

The road was wide enough so we drove up to the tent camp and parked here. Another great view of Volcan Sajama. Nice shelters to sit in for protection from the wind.

Area near geysers good for tent campers and vehicles. Protected area for tents, fire pit, area to sit. Could use hot water from geysers to bath and do dishes if you have a bucket. Great view of volcano.
