. 8km from town / pool / grills / pleasant setting. We passed by 3 other campgrounds on this dirt road out of town but this was the only one being tended to. This area would make for fine bush camping along the river further down the road but we wanted a hot shower (wood fired!).. Chilecito has free wifi on the town square AR$25 per person, overpriced

We also met somebody who stood for a night on the parkingspot of the Station...
The place on itself is nice, as long as you avoid the toilets (disgusting). We needed electricity and a shower. A cold one, because we didn't want to ask the caretaker to heat up the shower and is had been a hot day anyway. He asked for 100 pesos a person. We paid 160 for two, which is too much for such a dirty place.

Report Check-InLocation info from 2011 seems to be a little bit off. 1km further down the road (towards Chile Cito) is correct. Hopefully the database will get my GPS update. Wood fired hot showers, place near the river. 150$ for two persons and a tent. Bats screaming during the night and tons of flies in the morning as a bonus :)
