Description

Small campsite next to Visitor centre. No access for big truck. We camped in car park behind dirt mound for wind shelter. In the campsite there is power and shelters but they are not adequate wind protection. WIFI. Hot Showers and Toilets. Cost AR$30

Tour AR$250 pp.

Update: As of 11th November 2017 camping is currently closed for works. Consider this before you visit as you may need to allow time to get to an alternative camping area.

Report Check-In

the camping area is in the process of being renovated. But no issue parking at carpark outside the gate. You could even put up a tent behind carpark in the bush.

Report Check-In

Really great parking with pavement.
Good wifi
We have sleep here during 3 nights without problem.
We ask and they say ok.
We was sometime 4 or 5 overlander but in low season
Nice night with the bigest rabbits of the world...

Report Check-In

300pp for tour, moto free, lasted 3 hrs. We went 2up on moto. A little expensive but worth it for the afternoon tour stunning views in the late light. I believe they make you drive in convoy to monitor people who may drive off track into the park.
I know Roam wasn't built in a day, but how long can it take to make a campsite? The toilets are working barely, can't camp as the showers aren't ready. Told them we don't need a shower they told us to go to Balde de Rosario, south of the park to a private camp site. (We didn't check it out, camped at dry river camp) We saw several cars, campers stay in the parking lot however.
Tour in Spanish but some English subtitles on a video presentation. The scenery is worth it though!

Report Check-In

Campground still closed. Big new built parking area (stone) in front of entrance. We where allowed to use the restrooms.

Report Check-In

no camping at the moment. The entire entrance to the park is under construction. There is a large concrete parking at the entrance. The campsite is still under construction and closed but we were able to stay overnight at the car park at the entrance. The price of the park is $ 300 Ars/pers.

Report Check-In

nous avons demandé à rester sur le parking après le circuit de 15h...sans pb, wifi sans code, tranquille...

Report Check-In

Tour is now 300 pesos The first half of the tour I was not impressed.at all. Maybe I have seen too much. The mushroom in the end is good. I asked staff why you cannot do this tour by yourself but they didnt come up with a reason. Its just the way it is. Not ever before I had to drive in a convoi through a national park (300+ parks all over the world) I’ll give the bustour in Talampaya a miss, not my cuppa tea.

Report Check-In

It was allowed to sleep on the parking lot for free while the campsite itself was indeed closed due to maintenance works. No electricity, but toilets and showers stay open. Poor WiFi at the reception desk.

Report Check-In

Good tour through the park at 250ARG p.p. in convoy/own car. At the end we were allowed to stay for the night for free in the parking next to the exit (not entrance). Overnight stay is allowed for cars w/rooftop tent and campervans, but not for tents. Camping area is closed and under construction. Museum is free to visit and you can use the toilet/cold shower at the entrance.

Report Check-In

Beautiful circuit and in combination with the museum and the guided trekking or bike tour I think it's by no means too expensive. For the trekking/biking they offered us the hike at 4pm the same day (that didn't seem to be an issue) or a bike tour at 8.30am / 11am next morning.
We opted for the car convoy tour at 5pm, it's the last one and the Valley shows its most beautiful colors, there were much less other cars than on earlier tours and it's less hot (for everybody travelling aircooled like us). Onçe the tour was over, we just parked in the estacionamento that you see right when you exit. We hid a bit behind a bigger bus and nobody bothered us.
He bike trek next morning (90min) was a lot of fun, you get to see a different circuit, ride through the terrain and get different information about what you see. All in all, a very worthy stopover!

Report Check-In

We enjoyed our visit here, it's a beautiful national park...very similar to what you see in Utah in the US. The price isn't cheap at 250 per person but we still enjoyed our visit. They were not allowing any camping when we asked because there are works going on at the moment. We had to drive elsewhere to camp so keep that in mind. (100km west there are 2 beautiful free municipal campgrounds.)

Report Check-In

Slept in the estacionamento (rooftop tent) for free. No showers available at the moment. Open wifi good for whatsapp calls.

Report Check-In

The campsite is closed now. They are making a new one. I don't know how long this will last.

Report Check-In

The entrance is still 250pp as everywhere else. For that price you have access to the nice dino museum, to the car circuit, and you can also go for the bicycle tour or trek but strangely not on the same day than the car tour. They said us we have to do it the next day, otherwise we have to pay 150pp more.
The car tour is indeed beautiful and quite interesting. takes around 3-4hours
Avoid the restaurant

Report Check-In

One shelter has been upgraded and is now a good wind protection for a small tent. Only 1 male shower so if the camping is crowded can be a waiting line. Light, electricity at the site, tables but nothing to sit. Don't now the price, camped for free.

Report Check-In

The $250pp for foreigners is crazy, but standard park price in Argentina at the moment unfortunately.. The guided car tour was really interesting - It really is worthwhile being at the end of the convoy of cars.. we hung around in the park and took a lot more photos after the rest of the cars had moved ahead. We did the 11.45am tour and were able to get some pretty spectacular views, but I think an afternoon tour would benefit from the setting sun casting shadows and colours on the hills. We also stayed in the carpark overnight and did the bike tour the next morning for no extra charge (you can choose either a bicycle tour or a trekking tour to be included in your ticket), which was also good but probably not worth the $150 to do it on its own. Definitely worth the visit, there is a museum stop on the car tour and also a centre of interpretation at the entrance which is free to access

Report Check-In

The tour is 40 km long and it takes 4 hours with several stops. It was very dusty. We paid 250 Peso / person.
To sleep on the parking place is forbidden, you must go on the campingplace. 100 Peso / person.

Report Check-In

Prices for the tour went up on 1.01.2017:
Now 250.- per person.

There is also a track for cyclists, but if you want to see the main stuff, you got to ask any of the cars if they have a place for you.

Report Check-In

Slept on the parking area with WiFi for free. Had the guided car tour in the afternoon and the bicycle tour in the next morning for one price (250). You also include the guided trekking tour.

Report Check-In

very good wifi, hot shower and light at consiste. Tihs was a gift after a long drive form Chile border. we pay 100 pesos pp foe camping with oue camper. beautiful road from Las Flores to San jose Jachal via 150 and then super new paved road from Huaco to here.

Report Check-In

very interessting place, with helpful staff, well organized, we paid for the tour 250 ARS p.p. and 100 ARS p.p. for the camping.

tipp for the tour, try to be the last one in the convoy, so you can stopp, whenever you want and take pictures ;-))

the toilets and wifi are good, the shelters and power for your car/camper also, it has tables under the shelters, just to sit somewhere without your own chair, is a little bit difficult.

Report Check-In

Not that outstanding and therefore worth the 200 ARS in my opinion. Don't go in the hot afternoon if you are on your bike. The convoy goes so slow that you and your air cooled engine will be fried!

Report Check-In

Beautiful nature park and well equipped camping. Highlight! Even for spoiled travelers.

Report Check-In

Watch out,the parking areal is not the camping areal. The camping is behind the visitor info center. Here are shadow roofs ,tables and electric power points, but a bit unfinished, and a bit dusty like all the nature around. Hot showers are useable only between 20.30 and 7.30 that is a bit strange. There are 2 computer for free wifi inside the visitor center. If your antenne is strong enough maybe you will have also a signal at the campspot. We paid for camping 60Pes. p/p per night no carge for our RV. To visit the park is well worth it. It costs you 200 Pes. per Person. You can drive with your own car, or your RV. The drive trough the park is in an convoy from approx. 10 cars and the first one has to carry a guide, but he is incl. with your ticket. The tour needs between 3-4 hr and starts several times.

Report Check-In

Camping opportunity at the park entrance. Well maintained. Hot showers, slow wifi, electricity. Possibility to sit inside at reception. Restaurant during park opening hours. ARS 120 (2 adults, camper).

Report Check-In

we paid 60.00 pesos per person for the camping. friendly people. clean toilets and really hot shower! wifi signal until the camping place. in the night we saw a few foxes around our car. beautiful nature area. we recommend this place and the guided tour with your own car.

Report Check-In

If you stay on the car park just before the gate, and if you are self contained, you do not need to pay for the camping.

Report Check-In

The prices are now 200 pesos pp for the drive-your-own-car tour, and 60 pesos pp for camping. There is one shower for caballeros and one for damas, and the only legal shower hours are from 2030 to 0730. So needless to say, we only did a night shower. The camp spots are pretty run down, but the bathrooms were good. There is wind protection at some sites. Dogs are welcome at the camp and on the tour thru the park.

Report Check-In

Tour, 3 1/2h with own car, 160pP including Park entrance. 40km ride on dirt roads to see Canyons and get explained it's origins. Spanish only. We don't know how people managed not to pay the camping; you have to stay on the camping side (more a parking lot than camping) if you stay overnight-> 45pP.
BTW : there are more than only one tour /day (9am, +-1pm, +-6pm and maybe more in between)

Report Check-In

Dirt lot with five shade structures. Park was closed down for a week because they had three days of rain. Roads collapsed and electricity was cut off. Didn't pay for camping. Park normally opens at 9am we were told and they form car caravans led by a guide. 3 hour tour with planned stops, 160PpP for non Argentinians.

Report Check-In

Didn't pay but theoretically it is 45 pesos per person. Park entry fee was 160 though. Parked in campoing area...

Report Check-In

AR$45 per person for camping behind the visitor center. Bathrooms and one shower (fine but nothing great). Wifi reached the sites just fine. Windy but gorgeous sunset from the platform or hills overlooking the red hills across the valley. Nice little store and food available - surprising amount of infrastructure. Didn't go into the park.

Report Check-In

The showers were very dirty. Wifi is very good. You have electricity in 220 volt.

Report Check-In

- 40 ARS per person
- not such a bargain as it used to be, but it is a proper campground with electric outlets, shelters, wifi (very slow) and hot showers after 8 pm.
- very windy, the Zonda wind brings a lot of dust and the shelters don't really help, since they built them the open side facing west
- you can enter Ischigualasto Parque only in a caravan with other vehicles, entrance for foreigners was 160 ARS per person at the time we were there (steep, on the borderline of being worth it)

Report Check-In

Good overnight place, quiet, electricity, water, toilets and showers available, slow WiFi Peso 50 - / 4 nights (usually costs probably 1 night Peso 50 -)

3-4 hour journey by vehicle convoy kostest 140 peso per person - including park admission

Report Check-In

Small campsite next to Visitor centre. No access for big truck. We camped in car park behind dirt mound for wind shelter. In the campsite there is power and shelters but they are not adequate wind protection. WIFI. Hot Showers and Toilets. Cost AR$30

Report Check-In

AR$10 per person, great value. Dirt lot / nice views / no shade / cafe / no faucet for water fill up. Decent wifi, just on the slow side. Facilities are just average but it’s a nice spot to spend a couple days

AR$10 per person
