Upper Rush Creek Campground | Established Campground

NFS campground. currently free because they dont have water. the vault toilets are open and brand new recently installed. There is some poison ivy. sites parking area is generally short and uneven. Spent Memorial Day weekend 2024 and it was never more than half full.

This campground is Open and Free to use. 14 day limit. The pit toilets have been removed and the water has been shut off, it doesn’t seem like this campground is being maintained anymore. No cell service. Nice, shaded, large trees, clear running creek. Each site has a fire ring, charcoal grill and picnic table. Beware the sites up near the front were overgrown in poison ivy ☠️. Site 6 seemed to be the flattest, near the creek, and ivy free. We were the only people here on a Friday night. Please pack your trash out and don’t poo in the campsites!

This spot is currently closed until at least 9/17/2021 due to fires. The road is blocked and locked.

No service on Verizon. Beautiful campground, but we couldn’t stay with work to do and little service at this spot

Modoc NF, The campground is about 3 miles off the highway on a unpaved road.
free, open May-Oct, 22 ft max RV length, tables, grill, small creek
Good for a lunch break too 😉
