Description

Great Agency owned by a friendly local called Renato.
He proposes jungle tour with a very good price (the cheapest we founded in town). You can ask him what you want and he can manage a good program for you!
We had an incredible experience with him, we were 3, we built a boat with some wood and navigate on the Beni, visit a community before going into the jungle.
The camps and the food were briliant!
Worth to go there at least 3 days, Renato know and can teach you all the animals and the medicinal plants of the jungle.
Definitely a very good experience, if you want to make something different with a real local experience this is a good deal!
Don't forget sun screen and repelent ;)

Don't hesitate! Renato is the best guide and experience you will find in all the Madidi Jungle. He is born and raised in the jungle and knows everything so if you want a truly Amazon experience he is the guy, plus he is a great chef! You will realize all the tours offer the same and he is the only guy who can offer you a great experience plus safety. We had the best experience in South America so far! 6 days tour ( 6 days in the jungle and 2 in the Pampa). we would say... skip the Pampa and ho all the days you can into the jungle. If possible 10 days is a great experience as we wanted more!! thanks Renato!!!

Renato is a great guide! We went for a short 5-day expedition in the jungle and it was an awesome experience. He is really knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable and in good hands from the get go. He is very open to suggestions and will tailor the trip to organise the activities you want to carry out. Our advice: 8+ days better! This would allow you to get further in the jungle and increase your chances of spotting animals.
Anyhow, would definitely recommend Renato to anyone who wants to discover the jungle!

We had a really great experience 4 days in la selva with Renato and his friend! First, we met Renato a day before at his house to discuss the program. We instantly felt welcome. He asked us if it was possible to go to the starting point with our car, together with him, his friend and one other tourist. He said the roads were fine, but half an hour in we noticed that it's really a bumpy ride and told him this was not good for the car (since we already broke the airconditioning and radio on our bumpy ride to Rurre). He said to pull over at a friends house along the way and called a taxi.
The first day was a though hike to his base camp, on rainboots and with backpacks while crossing the river several times. However, it felt really adventurous to walk through the jungle and Renato told us about plants, trees and animals. He talks only a little English, but we were able to understand all of his Spanish with our basic Spanish knowledge. At basecamp, you sleep on an mat under a mosquito net and a plastic roof. The sounds of the jungle at night were amazing! The second and third day we went on hikes, went fishing and went for a night hike to spot caimans. The last day we hiked back.

For us, these 4 days were a really special experience! We had adventure and learned a lot about the jungle, and could improve our Spanish :). We had a lot of fun with Renato and his friend, and it didn't feel at all as if we were on a 'touristic tour'. Be aware that you should be in a good enough physical shape as the comments below describe.

We paid 350 BOL pp per day, which we thought was a good price since you (almost) have a private tour.

proper of-the-beaten-jungle- survivel- trek. You'l go into the jungle for intensive walks with a heavy backpack, cross rivers, make a base camp, look for food,....unfortunatly we underestemated it a bit and my girlfriends bad ankle played a big part. Renato did his best to change his original plan and made an alternative program. When we decided to go back early he even agreed to give back some of the money we paid. recomended if you are lookig for a jungle adventure ! great guide

Renato is a great guy. If you are looking for an alternative to all the agency in town, he is the man. He not only tells you what he knows as most of the tour operators do, he lives it. To get to his Basecamp we had to do some river crossing. From there we went fishing (first small and then big fishes), collected fruits and produced delicious jus out of it, went for a night walk and saw birds, alligator, tapir.... was a great experience to live with and in the nature with him.we can definitely recommend him if you don't need a luxury jungle tour.

Great local guide that really know the Selva. Did a full surval tour of 4 days with him and liked it a lot. Was first wrong informed from his son at his house about him not returning for jungle for days, so went to Donato Tours that also use him. They could tell me Renato returned same day, and that me and my friend could leave the day after. Paid 1000 for 4 days + 200 entry to the jungle.

Had I just found Renato first I would have only paid 800 and would have taken minimum 6 days in order to make "a loop" and return with selfbuilded raft instead of walking same way in and out.

The Phone number is wrong. Correct is: +591 72839429.

We did a 7 day tour with Renato and his son, Angel. They are nice people.
We walked two days into the jungle to our base camp. There we explored flora and fauna and went for fishing along the small rivers. Renato is a good cook. After two days in the base camp we walked out of the jubgle in 3 days. We walked every day around 6 hours. So you should be a good hiker. We learned a lot on this tour!
You can do tours up to 20 days and tell Renato what your focus is!

Renato offers tours privately besides working for an agency. This and the fact that he loves (absolutely loves, would rather be in the jungle than in town) the "selva" results in a good price and a personalized tour.
He knows a ship load of plants and would survive no problem in the bushes. Additionally, he also cooks "comida muy buena" that, however, usually contains a lot otf soy oil. Enough to mention here x)
10/10 would do it again!
