After visiting the ruines, we wanted to go to the parking of a hostel but the access with our motorhome was impossible so we decided to came here for the night. There is a guard 24/7 so it is very safe. It was very quiet at night. And it is free !
Report Check-InGood for a night, nobody bothered us and we felt perfectly safe. Cops drove by twice at night. Palenque is hotter than the dickens.

At 7 pm in one of buildings beside the parking lot they were having a service that lasted until 10.30pm, it was really loud and crowded. People wouldn’t leave before midnight. Same in the morning, as the service begins at 10am.
Other than that was fairly quiet and felt quite safe.
didn't camp here, but did pull in to do some grocery shopping at midday and had our van broken into during the 30 minutes we were inside
