Description

Camping inside the courtyard with the lovely sisters, shower and toilet, close to Angolan consulate, the courtyard is also used by the 500 pre-school children during the week so there is always entertainment, they asked for 20US$/night (14,60€) but we bargained down to 10US$/night (7,30€) for two people which is the price people have paid here previously

Nice and peaciful place if you camp in the main court (inside the old buildings). Be aware height and width limitation of the entrance to the court, thus is not always possible for big or high vehices. Outside main court, but still ínside the walls is also possible to camp, but is a very ugly and wrecked area. Boss Sister asked 20 U.S. dollar, but very rapidly, she accepted 10 U.S. dollars. They have a modest (african) toilet with shower, not always with running water. Possible electricity on main court. If in the main court, you have to leave very early in the morning (before seven) because children are entering the school.

The convent gates are a little way down Avenue Ensiegnement on the left. They are unmarked. (If you are asked, you want to stay with the nun's NOT the priests. The priests' compound has marked gates and is just past the convent gates. It has parallel parking only on a steep slope.)

At 28' (8.5 m) long and 8'8" (2.7 m) high we were too big to make it into the courtyard, so the friendly nuns let us park along side their steps in the driveway. We paid $10 USD. Our problem was the traffic gridlock to get there and to get back to the highway. It took us 90 minutes to drive the last 2 miles (3 km) and 45 minutes to get back to the highway in the morning. It would be great if someone could find a safe place to stay nearer the highway!

shower didn't work, dog poop in the grass, ugly smell all over the place. we had to stay outside the courtyard, although we had to pay 10 usd per night. left after one night.

The entrance is on Avenue Enseignement.
We arrived after 7 p.m, so the gate was already closed and it took some waiting (and loud knocking) till someone came to open. Sisters are really lovely and are always up for a little chat. Bathroom is ok...after 4 days in the mountains without a real shower it felt like heaven for us ;) we got sleep in the lovely courtyard and had some good times with the sisters and the kids from preschool. Those kids are so adorable and cute, but can be a bit much, because if they are there you won't have a minute for yourself. Still a great experience with them!
Price is still 10 $ or 16.000 CFranc

Really difficult to find the entrance, but ask at the street and people will help you. After a negotiation we paid $10.

At 'maps.me' you can find this place as 'Couvent des soeurs'.

We arrived at 8 PM and found the concierge at the school next to here, because that fence was open and we asked around.

The concierge told us it was 10 usd pp per night. But we said we'd leave early at 7 AM so it'd be a short night.
We think because it was late and we both were tired he settled for 10 usd after 10 seconds.

The sisters are indeed very friendly.

Bathroom is alright.

Nice Place. A bit difficult to find the Entrance, just ask around for "les Soeurs". The Courtyard is a very lovely and clean Place. At first they wanted 10 USD per Person also. After a lot of Negotiation it was 10 USD for 2 Person with Car. It was quite as it was Saturday when we were there.
