Description
While we were hiking the Colca Canon for 3 days, we left our car behind the black gate next to the police station. Just ask at the police station. We paid 10 sol per night. When we got back, we also saw the tour vans parked inside the gate. Safe place and friendly officers :)

Apparently it depends on who is on duty. The police woman sent us away, claiming it is not, and never was, possible to park behind the black gate. That it’s for personnel only. We left.
Report Check-InThe police station is still there. In front of the black gate is a steep ramp. Might not fit bigger rigs.
