Very strange and rude owner. I asked him for a place with shade and didn't get a proper answer. So I asked if I could have a look which he didn't like. Long short story he told me to go somewhere else. (And luckily I found a very nice place at Schützenhaus in Keetmanshop.)

Report Check-In

Previous posts promise basic food here, but there isn’t.
No peanut butter, oats, bread - nothing.
The owner told us they cannot sell enough, so groceries will go bad.
There is some biltong, chips, noodles, coffee and an applecake.

Report Check-In

as all of the below. Nice place. would definitely recommend it. shop is expensive but not many options in the area. camping is good. well set out. R200 for the night.

Report Check-In

we were just here for the "apfelstrudel" and coffee
Totally disappointing :-(
The apfelstrudel is just a apple cake which was just ok, the coffee was good
2 piece of cake and 2 coffee > 200 N$ way too expensive
the owner were super friendly and they have nice garden, but all in all we cannot recommend the place for a coffee break

Report Check-In

This camp was so good, The owners are really kind and helpful and they do make the best strudel and biltong you can't leave without trying them. The sunset was magical, sunrise was pretty good also. the camp spots have a private toilet and shower, braai station and an outdoor light, they are also all shielded from the wind. If you need as place to stay before or after your fish river canyon trip please go here, also good for a stop off your going past. price was 200 $N pppn for camping. they have cabins etc also. Will respond to Whatsapp.

Report Check-In

I stopped here, the wind was very hard like a sand storm, paid 200 ND to use the camping, small shop expensive but aren't more options if you are cycling, friendly people, not to much to buy and only is possible with cash, nice wind cover on the campsite whit shower and toilet, very sandly place. enjoy the adventure!!

Report Check-In

Nice and friendly owner. cake and drinks relativly expensive compared to other touristic areas in the country. just stopped for a cold drink but camping is now 200 pppn

Report Check-In

What a place! The owners are super friendly. There was a storm coming and they kindly offer me to sleep in a caravan, you must try the apfelstrudel and biltong. They also have basic food, good for cyclist (peanut butter, oats, noodles... askc for bread as they have it in the freezer).

Report Check-In

Lovely place. Feels a bit like star wars. Nice campsites with wind protection, private ablutions, table and benches and shadow. Lots of privacy in between. Nice pool, shop for the basics, try the kudu pie and the Apfelstrudel. Definitely worth it. 195pppn. Lovely owners, good storytellers, they took us on a ride to the mountains to show us their huge farm. 1h from the fish river canyon on a very good gravel road.
Amazing night sky!

What a wonderful place! Wally was extremely welcoming and even helped us fix our car. When you stop by, ask for the Quivertree forest! He recently prepared a 4x4 track that leads to these beautiful trees not far from the mountains. It's totally worth the little detour.

Report Check-In

For cyclists - the shop has basics, packet noodles, biscuits, biltong, crisps etc. They mentioned they might get oats and tinned food too so cyclists can stock up as there aren’t many shops around. It’s a really friendly place. We camped here for a night and loved it. It’s rustic, your camping spot has a tree, a sink, some wind shelter and a cold shower (but there is a shared lovely toasty warm shower too!). There’s no wifi or electricity, but that’s why you’re travelling Namibia, right?! At night it’s peaceful with huge skies. Great little spot.

This is a real Oasis in the Dessert. What a wonderful place to visit with the most friendly people. Their Kudu Pie's are world class and wish Gordon Ramsy could taste it. This place is a must visit when driving on the C12.

A very fun and intimate little padstall - the owners were so friendly and accommodating that we intentionally passed by twice.
We would not camp here, but coming for a coffee and a chat is essential. The owners as unique as their place itself.
Excellent biltong (!!!!!), and delicious coffee for my vegetarian girlfriend. A must stop when you’re passing through!

Rustic site with private ablutions. Very quiet at night, no lights so great for stargazing. Owners very friendly.
