Very nice but they don't work on Land Rover for any trouble or spare parts. See picture 😅

We came in for an (early) oil change and questions regarding some sounds we heard on our Landcruiser. The owner took the time to look at our car together, and went for a drive with us to check what sounds we were concerned about. Although he agreed it was some wear, he assured that we could go for another few 1000k before needing to change the oil and the wear on the part was not to be concerned about. We were really happy with his explanation and it confirmed what we hoped to hear. In the end we didnt have any work done because he thought it was not neccesary, we appreciated his honesty and advise.

The owner knows his cars and my old Toyota was checked by him but fixed by his staff as he is recovering from illness. We waited for a day to bring it in and another full day for the work to be done but when driving off we were hearing strange sounds but they were closing. When coming back the next day the answer was ‘we can’t do miracles’. They did make a plan to fix the problem but not without remarks of unhappiness. Unfortunately the aircon belt they replaced came off within 100km but the rest was in the end properly done.

If he didn’t have time or it was too difficult for him, I could have gone somewhere else and not waited for 2 days so I am sure they know their cars but I feel disappointed as a customer for making me feel bad about only expecting a fixed car after paying so much. I take into account the current situation and Covid stress and that this affects a company. I wish them the best but I surely won’t go back to any business that makes me feel bad for bringing my car there and asking then to fix it. Not a great experience unfortunately.

As the owner I would like to thank you very much for all the good reviews here. It is much appreciated. We are here to assist with a smile! Regarding that one unhappy customer: Sorry we have disappointed you. We feel you were charged a fair price for a stub axle you urgently needed at closing time. The price certainly had nothing to do with your skin color. It is regretful that you use this forum to make personal remarks about our receptionist. We as employers are happy with her customer service.

For the second time they promised to do work at the car with an appointment but they are always busy and in general don't have time at all - absolutely unreliable!

great place! Lowe is very friendly and professional. we came with our Land Cruiser that was overheating, after two other mechanics in town told us that the head gasket is blown (8000 bwp). Lowe took our car to a test drive, checked everything and diagnosed the problem (we fixed by ourselves) asked only for a bottle of whiskey, that we were very happy to give him after the problem was solved.

Very serious mechanics. Specialized in Toyotas and others except landrovers. We had a serious big reparation at the end of our trip. We could park the car 3 months with him and when we came back everything was fixed.

The place to go to with older Toyota’s and great friendly service. After a check up and test drive all was good (just some water in the fuel from filling up at Shell in Maun) and off I went again.

Avoid this place!!

We were here twice before and it seemed the boss was quite friendly however upon meeting other mechanics we realised he was charging two to three times more than anyone else. The third time we went there, we needed a spare part and he charged us nearly three times the amount for a second hand part than it would have been to get a new one. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to wait for a new one to arrive from else where and he knew this and took full advantage.

A Botswana friend that we were there with heard the mechanic say that since we were white we would be able to easily afford and pay for the part.

The receptionist is an absolute awful person who made us feel really uncomfortable. Sly and cunning.

Go to Coulton Vehicle Services in Maun instead. Cheaper and fairer. Otherwise
If you can make it to Rakops instead, we can definitely recommend Isago Wheel and Tyre. Ask for Lulu ( cell: 75685078)
