Japan
Free river camp site at the dead end of a narrow street. Little 45 degree angle parking lot for about 10 cars. You could park in the riverbed, but don't know how dangerous that might be?

Nice lady, needed us to register to stay. It was a big deal for her. Free camping.
Lights go out at 22hrs. Toilet are drop, either Japanese style or Newlets (a special box probably with soap or perfume injected with a wand so you can manually jetwash yourself.
Toilet block is a bit industrial/communist/feel. Clean. There are communal 3-head cold showers for each sex. First time we've seen shower in a camping in Japan.
The camping boasts 3 shelters - kitchen sink, camp fire, and fire cooking. No shelter space available for tents. No grass only peagravel for tents. The river keeps the camp cool.
