just off the highway, a few km up a gravel road, lies this gem of a wild camping spot, in the middle of the forest. there is an outhouse on site. hike 200m to the river for swimming (with lots of mosquitoes). This is mostly for vans, class Bs, or very small tow behind campers.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
very cool spot. toilets were not there yet. I was alone all night long and did not hear anything. few mosquitoes.
Report Check-InBeautiful. No problem getting in with truck and small camper. Had to do a little tricky backing up to get out but not terrible. Fire pits, shelters, scary toilets, walking trails , scenic and private, friendly locals. Absolutely beautiful must see river and forest hike.
Report Check-InGreat spot, very peaceful in a clearing with a shelter pavilion! There are actually 2 pit toilets here - small trails leading off from the back border. As noted earlier, these are only serviced once a year and it hasn’t been done yet. There is some local traffic during the day but very quiet at night. There is also a trail leading to the river - really nice trail that has a couple of walk-in tent sites.
Report Check-InCoordinates where accurate, but we had to turn around, too small to accommodate our rig (30feet 5th wheel, or 45 feet while hitched). Very few places to turn around, I would not recommend anyone with tow trailers to utilize this area, very tight parking, & is far off the main highway.
quiet spot for one night. locals passed by on their way to the river, but no disturbances. would recommend!
Report Check-InPeach of a place to spend the night. It’s a Friday night and not another soul in sight. It’s sweltering so we spent a half hour soaking in the river which is 100m from where we parked.
Report Check-InReally great camping spot!
There are 2 hut areas to camp next to. (At least 2 tent spots each) If you get there early enough, there is a trail off the 2nd hut spot to a waterfall/river. Along that trail there is at least 2 really nice walk-in camping spots!!
Bring bug spray!
Pls don’t forget to pick up after yourself & leave no trace, we saw some leftover garbage :(
Report Check-InGreat spot, the toilet had just been cleaned (seems they do it once a year). On public territory. Lots of modquitos
The road has some nid de poule but very do able slow steady!! Very sweet spot. Quiet. Easy walk to the river!!
Report Check-Inbel emplacement, pour du camping sauvage tranquille, petit coin de feu!
sentier de marche jusqu'à la rivière/ chute a environ 5 min de marche !! super pour les animaux
definitely off the main highway, and very quiet. loving road and a bit bumpy but nothing to worry about.
Report Check-InIt is nice to stay here. Agreed with previous reviews. Quiet and peaceful, with some veryfar noise from big rigs on highway. Nice trail and river with rapids. We were here with 18 ft trailer with low clearance and path in was fine when driving slowly. Good turn around and manoevering at site.
Report Check-InMagnifique endroit sentier très intéressant j’aurais aimé prendre plus de temps pour explorer l’endroit
Report Check-InBeautiful camping location with a few different spots to park. Had a few vehicles drive by but noone bothered us and we enjoyed a quiet night in the woods listening to the stream. The shelter worked perfectly for protection from rain. We hiked the trail by the shelter in the morning and it was beautiful. A few mosquitos around but not too bad. We will definitely be coming here again.
Report Check-InDo NOT use the pit toilets. My friend had a nightmare experience with how full they are...
Report Check-Inreally quiet and nice place not that far from the highway. Perfect spot to camp.
As said before, it's a bug place, but with a nice fire everything ok.
So many stars, fireflies and mosquitoes!
It was very dark at night and we have seen only one car pass.
Great spot, but as said before bring bug spray!
Amazing spot for camping
nice little trail with a beautiful river
small shelter at the parking spot
Seasonal access. we tried to get there in our 20ft rv, and so did another truck with short trailer. Roads were pure ice. no places to turn around near shelter. after about a 20 point turn, we parked on the side of the road near the highway overpass about halfway to the "spot". still a nice wooden spot.
Report Check-InFabulous, quite spot not far from the highway. We have a 32’ class C and had no troubles reaching this spot. The gravel road is used by logging trucks so has some potholes but none so big you can’t easily get around. There are two well marked trails, one across the road and up a few meters. They are clearly marked and easy to do!! One of the best spots we’ve had in New Brunswick.
Report Check-Ingreat place, calm and well maintain. not too many mosquitoes and very close to the river. great way to stary of the day!
Report Check-InThis is a gorgeous spot. Nice and quiet. The undercover area doesn’t have any picnic tables or chairs but is good if it’s raining. The river nearby is beautiful and super close. Beware there are LOTS of mosquitos this time of year. As mentioned before, you NEED insect repellant. Could be different at other times of the year. Otherwise, perfect.
Report Check-InPlace is secluded and really nice. Met a local woman she said we should be ok here for one night. Two toilets on site.
Report Check-InQuiet forest spot, pit toilet still regularly ckecked, but picknick area somehow out of use. No mosqitos this time
Report Check-Injust off the highway, a few km up a gravel road, lies this gem of a wild camping spot, in the middle of the forest. there is a public toilet on site. hike 200m to the river for swimming and bbq'ing. as long as you bring mosquito repellent this is a great spot.
