Cute little campground not far from the park. Beautiful views and very peaceful. The few options for wild camping were either impassable in our 2wd Mazda, or someone beat us. Only about 1/2 full at 7pm August 6th. $14. The first 10 or so sites are not level for tents. Lots of porta potties as bathrooms, no running water. Would stay here again in a pinch.

Great spot outside of Estes Park. First come, first served. Only $14 a night. Several other vans in the campground overnight. We stayed in spot 5 in our Promaster, close to the campground entrance & the road, but not much traffic after dark.

Nice campground with bear boxes, picnic tables, and fire pits. Super clean portable toilets (not pit toilets).

We enjoy staying at Meeker Park anytime we’re in the area. This USFS campground is cheaper than most others we’ve found in the area (just $14 per night). Picnic tables, bear boxes, and fire pits at each site. Pets welcome on leash and porta-potties available. The camp host here is very friendly! 😊

Nice USFS Campground just a little ways south of Estes Park. $14 per night with pit toilets available and pets welcome. Good hammocking trees! Picnic tables, fire rings, and bear boxes at each site.

Good canning spots.
Some are flat and can handle a van.
A few can handle a trailer.
Close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nice little campground with a friendly camp host and some of the cleanest porta potties I've ever seen!

Making this post mostly for the big rigs...there are only a few sites which would be level enough and large enough for you. We are in a 170 sprinter and stayed at site #12 which is probably the best one. The driveway was large enough to fit us and even another small car and it was mostly level, though sloping slightly so we still needed blocks. However it is probably the only site in the entire campground that is not right on top of another.

Site #13 would also work for a van, though smaller. Many of the sites at this campground are made for cars and tent camping.

Camp host said they don't usually fill up until Friday night. We arrived Friday around noon and it was still pretty empty. Not many options near RMNP, but this is a good one.

Fee is now $14/night ($7 w/ only Senior or Military America the Beautiful pass). Porta potties were the cleanest I’ve ever seen and very well stocked. No cell service, but only 20 minutes from the Estes Park Visitor Center.

Meeker Park Campground, on Hwy 7, south of Estes Park

Report Check-In

Cute campground with very nice camp host. Has porta potties and bear-proof dumpsters. Also has fire pits and tables. About a half hour from Rocky Mountain NP. The sign says that they do accept the America the Beautiful pass - this makes the fee $6.50 instead of $13.

Awesome place! We were able to pitch a tent there when everythg in the surrounding area was filled. They have porta potties but otherwise it's an off the grid site. $13 fee per tent. People there were the friendliest campers we've met.

Park was quiet last night and host told me the Park no longer accepts the national parks annual pass and camping is $13 now. New management company doesn’t accept most passes.

Meeker* campground. Great place with 29 first come first serve sites. Like described, $12 (or $6 with Natl Parks Pass) per night for a charcoal grill, bar box and bench. Port-a-potties and dumpsters also. No Verizon service at all. Payment can be made cash or check with very easy to follow instructions.

$12 a night or only $6 with relevant interagency pass (America the beautiful included). The pitches are rocky and most on a slight slope, the road around the site is worn dirt and bumpy with small turnarounds. Walk first if you have a large or low clearance vehicle.
Portaloos and bins along with plenty of picnic tables, bear proof storage boxes and fire pits.
