Something not right?

Description

Getting lateand we needed a place to land, followed a road around the edge of a dry lake and mountain to this spot. There are some properties in the distance but obscure and far enough away that no one noticed us. Might be quite different in wet season.

Much contrast with the city, here everything is calm and quiet. We spent a good night in front of the lake. No traffic, flat. Easy access with all types of vehicles. Low entel and tigo signal.

We spent a couple of nights here in September 2023. We came back to Oruro in 2024 and came here again to spent two nights. It is really worth leaving the city and coming here to a calm and quiet place with a very nice panorama.

Great spot in fields for a night. You can continu the road to the dry lac. There are many places. It's very quiet.

Long, quiet road with many areas available for staying overnight. A few 'chullpas' nearby. Cats played freely. Beautiful sky at night and happy sun in the chilly morning.

Don't miss the tombs on the hill across the lake bed, in great condition with skulls, pottery and offerings still in place. For more cover you can continue on the road around the tomb hill by the river for more privacy.
