I don't know who thinks they own this section of road, but there isn't a single pull out within a kilometer of this pin. everything is intentionally full of large rocks, fallen trees, "tank traps", fence posts with barbed wire or other booby traps. near here there is one house that looks like it might be what this pin described, but when we came here the gate was closed and insanely loud music was blasting from an empty car. no one around for a mile in any direction. there is a bridge further up the hill you can pull over and rest but it's very far from this canyon and when we were there several cars of very drunk people were partying under the bridge. it's a very pretty drive, even if it's not open though.

Now the road leads to here is paved and they have a secured parking area for 5$.

We asked the staff and could stay over night on the property opposite for a donation. Nice place, it’s worth a visit.

We got robbed here! Van got broken into while we were swimming and phones and tablets got taken. We were going to stay the night here before this happened.
Having said that, it's a really cool place to swim and hang out. You can float down the cool water through a little carved out canyon and jump off the rocks. We were there on a saturday so a few families BBQ'ing. Cost $5. I wouldn't let the robbery stop you from coming here; just be extra vigilant and lock up your valuables.

Swimming hole with cliffs for jumping. Beautiful. Very similar to Cangiliones de Guaica (near David). No one there to take money. Road was passable by typical 4-door sedan with a family of 6 aboard. Steep in 2 areas. Says it closes at 4 but locals were still swimming at 5. Overnight may be possible. Note- the main road no longer connects through to El Valle. (See warning)

Fun place to spend the afternoon swimming and jumping off the rocks. You can have a picnic on the shady bank. Just a few locals there on a Tuesday. Cost was 5$ per vehicle. To get there from the Panam turn right just before the bright orange bus stop as you approach the coordinates. We did not need 4x4. A regular dirt road that is a little steep at parts. You can park at the entrance and walk in (maybe 2ish km) if you're worried.
