Off grid. No services. 10 minutes Northing of Divide. Ended up here as ALL other locations w in 50 miles were absolutely packed. Little gem. All entry descriptions on here were perfect. 1st green gate got us to boondocks site about 1/2 mile back. Gets tougher from there. To right for our rig. 27’ Fiver and crew cab long bed truck F-350. Lots of hikers w dogs during day. Be warned. All downed logs are gone. Went 5 miles back all directions and used the last easily available. There is another gate further in. Couple miles. This is entry step off to some good country.
Report Check-Innot really many good camping spots unless you drive through both gates. mostly people walking their dogs but everyone seemed nice.
Report Check-Inas described! absolutely beautiful and peaceful and I felt completely safe!
Report Check-InThis is the best place I've stayed in 6 months. Got about 2 feet of snow which melted within the week. lots of deer passing by. roads easily navigated without 4wd. I turned left at the second gate before going through it and parked right before it drops into the meadows. very few hikers but not a single vehicle in a week. lots of privacy.
Report Check-InSame as others said - just need to open and close the gate. I drove to the second set of double gates and didn’t see anyone other than some hikers. If you are just looking for a place to rest and overnight there is a turnabout right at the entrance - otherwise you have about a mile of dirt road till the second gates and the open prairie land begins. 1 bar Verizon LTE
Report Check-InStayed in the area for 3 nights. Absolutely quiet outside of seeing some people walking dogs or hiking during the day. Only one other night did I see other campers. Worth it.
Report Check-InGood dirt road. Pass the gate. Lot of places. No amenities. Free. Quiet. With the cows. Very good.
Report Check-InThe green gate was closed but not locked! Just open it, drive thru, and close behind you. This is a great spot during summer but it was snow packed in winter (see pics) - not safe for RVs/trailers during snow season.
Report Check-Innice place, you have to pass through the green Gate to enter in the NF, then you can choose a place. A lot of people went to take a walk with their dogs.
Report Check-InWhen we arrived midday the green gates were closed. It did appear folks had parked outside and hiked in to camp.
