Tanzania
A hotel next to the Lake. Very friendly staff. Very clean, free wifi. We took a chance as we couldn't find camping in the area. We got an en-suite room (double bed) for 45000 TZS, including breakfast, which works out cheaper than most camping places in the rest of Tanzania!

We stayed in the car park and slept in our car. Got access to a spacey, meticulously clean bathroom. No mold! Agree that it does need some refurbishment.
It's super quiet, next to the lake, and in total this was one of the best, "friendliest" car parks we stayed at in 6 months.
I don't agree that it's a very good hotel. It's average for Tanzanian standards and quite pricey: 60.000 TSH for a double room. Everything seems to be a bit rundown, especially the bathroom. Lots of mold. Parking is safe. Staff is friendly.
We ordered vegetarian curry with rice, it didn't take very long and tasted good. Breakfast was okay.
Indeed this hotel is very good!
Prices increased slightly and paid 50,000 tsh for 2.
The room was very clean and with small balcony.
The breakfast (included in the price) was very good, simple and plentiful.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Paid 35.000 shillings for one person. Food takes forever and not good. Same for breakfast.
Report Check-InThey said rooms were 50 or 60,000. Agreed to 45k and then 80,000 for 2 nights. Room is clean with a little balcony. Have ordered food and told it would take 1 hour- not hopeful…
Report Check-InSmall family room for four costs TSH 90.000, but we talked it down to 70.000.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They installed muskitonets on both double beds.
Breakfast included.
Safe fenced parking with security.
We negotiated 55k TSH for a lake facing room (which also looked over our vehicle), this included breakfast - chapatti, Spanish omelette, fruit, pancakes, etc. Staff were helpful, accommodating and attentive. Our room was clean and had a mozzie net, en suite with hot showers, a small balcony, also a small fridge. It was a good stopover for us.
Report Check-InReally nice hotel in front of the lake. Many birds.
We visited the market, as there is no turism
in this part of Tanzania, we weren't annoyed by fly catchers.
We really enjoyed our stay, paid 45000 for a room (the price was supposed to be 60000), hot water, view on the lake, quiet, staff friendly, good mosquito net and breakfast simple but ok.
Food at the restaurant is definitely not really good and we wait like 2h...
Nice hotel, we paid 50000 for a room with comfortable bed and hot shower. There is wifi. You should skip the restaurant, the food takes ages and is not really nice.
Report Check-InNo rooms available when we arrived. We regretted that we did had lunch here, had to wait 1,5h for a cold tough grilled chicken with cold chips...meh.
Report Check-InModern hotel with restaurant, bar, shops, coffee shop and lovely room. Rates are 40,000 for single room (2 persons allowed), 50,000 for double room and 60,000 for lake view double room. We negotiated to the 45,000 as the previous entry did but then when asked about our dogs they said 5,000 extra, so we essentially paid the asking rate. Very friendly but over attentive staff, not great English but OK.
