Something not right?

Description

3km from transcanada highway. Some places on grassy area just before the ferry, mainly on the left. We ask to the operator and he say ok for for as long as we want. He told us there is black bears, coyotes and mooses in the area. Nice and close to the river.

We weren’t sure about staying here, just a large patch of grass right before a ferry to the other side, but turned out to be a great spot. Two other campers showed up while we were setting up, one was an iOverlander but didn’t talk with the other. Quiet and nice river views, but the mosquitos were absolutely vicious, even with aggressive winds. Perfect one night stop.

as described above. we just did a 180 at the south ferry approach and parked in the flat ditch by the river. Could be greasy when wet. Awkward for larger and multi axle rigs I would guess.

I think this was the most beautiful free camp spot I've ever seen. the road is dry and wide all year long and there will be dry areas for tents unless its a really wet week or something.
We saw a lot of wildlife and heard a lot of coyotes (seriously a lot of them) so if you bring pets here be really careful. ferry is closed in the off season but you can still stay here. idk if they plow the road all the way when theres snow though.

Lovely! 3 miles down a gravel road to a big lake . A ferry services homes on the other side of the lake. Saw people fishing from the lakeside. One other IOverlander was there with me. They pitched a tent. I was in my van. Gorgeous sunset. Quiet at night. No cars. Quite a few tiny mosquitoes—they don’t bite much but their noise in your ear is annoying.

Good spot, we park on the grass beside the cable structure. Ground get soft with rain so be careful. Fairly new light pole by the water with 120v outlet. Friendly ferry operator.

Gorgeous - had no problem with me overnighting. The dog was thrilled to see a body of water she could swim in

Great location, dry season so it wasn’t too buggy or muddy. Quiet camp spot.

The grassy area now has a big excavator parked on it so no room for our 24ft RV. Note that there is a nice small gravel pit half way down the road to the ferry that has a nice vu. In the end we preferred overnighting in a field above river

Great quiet (at night/evening) little spot. Grassy area off to the side of the ferry, big enough for several vehicles/tents.

A lovely spot, even for two nights. Wonderful!
